NFL | NFLPA and NFL close to amending steroid-testing program

(KFFL) Mark Maske and Dan Steinberg, of the Washington Post, reports NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the NFL and the NFL players' union are close to completing an agreement to amend the league's steroid-testing program. Goodell and NFLPA chief Gene Upshaw have been discussing possible measures to strengthen the program. An increased number of random tests and more extensive use of the carbon isotope ratio test to determine if testosterone in a sample is synthetic could be included.
