NFL NORTH KEEPER LEAGUE - 2025/2026 - Year 5

Greetings! I hope the offseason has been kind to you and yours :D

We are entering in to our 5th year of our keeper league and we have 1 spot available.

The team doesn't have amazing keepers on it, but it does have 2 4th round picks and 2 5th round picks, which is always nice :D And, you aren't forced to keep anyone.

We use TeamStake for payment and it is $50 per year. We pay 1 year ahead for team protection because we allow draft pick trading for the next year's draft (with restrictions). Technically you are paying the protection fee and this year has been paid for by a previous protection fee. Long story short, it's $50 bucks.

The roster spots are:
QB - 1
RB - 2
WR - 2
TE - 1
Flex - 1
SuperFlex - 1
DEF - 1
Bench - 6
IR - 2

We run a slow draft as we have players from different countries around the world.

It is a superflex league with 2 keeper positions, with a maximum of 3 years of contributing to scoring on a roster. If you draft someone and they hit, you can keep them for 2 years after (3 years total). Each year the keeper value goes -1, for example: I drafted Sam LaPorta 2 years ago in round 14, last year I kept him with a round 13 pick, this year I'm keeping him with a round 12 pick and it is my last year to do so.

If I don't trade him during this season or the off season that follows, he will go back to the draft pool and his keeper value is lost. However, if I do trade him this season or in the off season that follows, his keeper value is retained for the new owner, meaning that in next year's draft they could keep him with a round 11 pick.

If a trade happens during the season and the player scores points for an owner's team, that counts as 1 year of contributing to points, meaning he can only be kept for 2 years following the trade. If the trade happens in the offseason and the player did not contribute any points for the owner's team, the player can be kept for 3 years.

As far as free agent pickups are concerned: for keeper purposes we do ADP round +1. For example: if a player that you grabbed from free agency last year has an ADP of 73, that means that they are a 7th round pick. ADP round +1 = 8. Therefore you can use an 8th round pick to keep the player if you wish. This gives a slight advantage for holding a free agent for keeping, while making sure that the highest potential keeper values are reserved for players who were drafted, held, and went up in value.

We run a bit of custom scoring (nothing too crazy), and I will post pictures of the scoring screens from sleeper in this post.

I also keep a spreadsheet for each year's draft, and I will post the screenshot for the orphaned team here as well.

If anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

PAYOUTS:
1st Place - $300
2nd Place - $150
3rd Place - $100
Most Points in Regular Season - $50

Thanks!

Doug
