Its also because of undetectable steroids and HGH, yeah the new tracks matter, but if you think Bolt is drug free, youd be in the minority..its doubtful he is.if you think ADP's 'miraculous' recovery and subsequent 2k season WEREN'T due to Smoke and mirrors and fuzzy science, Ive got a bridge in brooklyn to sell ya..
the 1980's saw a substantial gain in steroid use and production to the point where it became a designer drug by the early 90's..its why , Imo, guys like David Boston always had a fella following him around, quick to give him this or that as a supplement.and why he never stayed healthy.its highly probably he was jacked on 'something' the entire time he was in the NFL.
its like baseball, where no one thought guys were doing anything drug related, until Canseco spilled the beans, then it all came out..
the Tour de France is riddled with drug use IMO..tell me how else can a human being ride 100 miles a day through the 12-14k ft mtn peaks on a bike, and do it all again the next day, day after day..and they kill Lance, but they're all on drugs.they have to be in order to accomplish these feats..
I dont really buy the thought that training is exponentially better nowadays, I do think people are getting better at cheating, and HGH is a HUGE part of that.
look at pro bodybuilders of the 90's..Dorian Yates, Paul Dillett, Shawn Ray, Lee Haney, Flex Wheeler..Yates in particular was so massive and thick it wasnt funny.he made Arnold like small, tiny, miniscule..but seemingly all of the 90s bodybuilders now suffer from polumboism, a distenting of the belly from steroid and PED drug overuse..
here's Dorian 6 weeks out from the 93 Mr O. said to be the best-ever photo session of a bodybuilder. he was simply carved out of stone in this photoshoot.

the difference between Dorian and Arnold , who last won in 1980, is staggering..
guys dont just lose 50-60 lbs once they quit the NFL, ' just because' . these commentators are suddenly smallish because theyve stopped using...I remember Kyle Turley being signed or resigned by KC , to Play TE one preseason, but an injury to the o-line had him going back to play lineman.he went from something like 240 to 280 in a matter of weeks..you think he did that eating pizza and hot dogs? doubtful, IMO.
Just as computers and pcs got better from the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600 to the Ipad, PEDS have also gotten substantially better..Bodybuilders arent doing anything much different than what Arnold did in the early/mid 70s, when it comes to the actual weight lifting, its still the simple formula of the biggest weight builds the biggest muscle...they've just got more protein powders to choose from nowadays , and designer injectable drugs, including insulin, to boot. they werent doing these things in Tom Platz/ Frank Zane era..Just compare Arnold's best photoshoots to Dorian's, you'll see what I mean..Yates is and always will be the best ever bodybuilder, but he had access to things Arnold never did.same with current athletes vs. ones from the 80s and 90s..and Dorians training was always heavy , heavy sets, not unlike what Arnold was doing 20 years before..
