Ah, here we are again. Another promised early posting of this weeks thread and another early Saturday evening arrival. I apologize, I really do. Luckily I've been busy with a new job that I got so it's not like I was sitting here playing with myself all week. And if it makes you feel any better, my Microsoft Office trial ran out so I calculated the last two weeks (not Week 10 because it was our bye week) results and points by hand with a notebook. Hopefully that will make some of you feel better who are cursing me for another late posting right now.
Okay, moving on topic, it's getting pretty close and the upper echelon is starting to pull away. There's a STEEP drop off after the first seven spots so we'll see if the middle of the pack can turn it around.
I also apologize about not mentioning the Jets couldn't be used in the special teams bonus pick. The Jets picks, while cute, did not count. If your upset about this I apologize and if you'd like to make a pitch to me as how you didn't know the Jets had scored a special teams TD on Thursday when you're a member of the FBG forums, I may change my mind. It's going to have to be one hell of an excuse though.
Anyway, here's the updated standings (done by hand!) THROUGH Week 11:
1. Gorf - 87 points
2. Penguin - 82 points
3. Donnybrook - 78 points
4. Two Dollars - 76 points
Renesauz - 76 points
5. The Wick - 75 points
6. Jeff Haseley - 74 points
Jeter23 - 74 points
7. Faust - 71 points
Ready for the drop off?
You sure?
It's not too big...
8. Husker Power - 64 points
Cookie Monster - 64 points
Norseman - 64 points
9. Bro1ncos - 63 points
10. Crazy Legs - 60 points
CD Dragon - 60 points
11. Blackjack - 55 points
12. Fighting Wombat - 53 points
Team Dingo - 53 points
13. Spit kickers - 52 points
14. Patrick T - 47 points
15. Bshipper - 37 points
16. Utter Chaos - 35 points
17. R0llin (NEW?) - 19 points
If you have a (NEW?) next your name and you were new (never participated at all in the year prior) on Week Nine, than don't do anything. If you HAD participated before Week 9, your going to have to go back and add up your points because I dropped you off the list due to inactivity. Just tell me what you had before, I'll double check it and then add it to your total. As for others who aren't on the list, if you don't participate for two weeks than I just take you off. Your still in the contest and will be added once again when you participate. Follow the same aforementioned rules if you do decide to do this however.
I'll see to to it that everyone who has a realistic shot at winning is notified of this thread before game time tomorrow if I don't see any posts. It's the least I can do for promising the world and delivering a tin cup!
Cue the Week 12 Questions!
QUESTIONS
Note: The Bengals/Steelers game does not apply here. Just pretend it was in Week 11.5 or something.
1. Over/2.5/Under - Tony Romo's interceptions in Week 12.
2. TRUE/FALSE - At least ONE of the following underdogs will win straight up in Week 12: Detroit, San Francisco or Oakland
3. Over/3.5/Under - Number of teams that will score MORE than 29.5 total points in Week 12 (That's 30+ for all you nimwits)
4. Which AFC tight end will have the most TD receptions? (NOTE: There will be no push for this particular question -- if there's a tie for the most than all answers for all of those players would be acceptable)
5. Over/50.5/Under - Total number of points in the delicious looking Giants/Cardinals match up
6. Which NFL RB will have the most COMBINED yards from scrimmage (just rushing and receiving) in Week 12?
7. Over/55.5/Under - Terrell Owens' total receiving yards in Week 12
8. Over/2.5/Under - Total number of teams that will have a kick return or punt return touchdown in Week 12
9. Which NFL DIVISION will have the most combined interceptions thrown by its QB's in Week 12?
10. Over/84.5/Under - Steve Slaton's total rushing yards in Week 12
BONUS: Get 70%+ of your 1-10 questions correct and you will be awarded 5 points. If any are a push just eliminate that and factor in the percentage for the rest.
SPREAD PICK EMS:
(PK) New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals (PK)
(+9.5) San Francisco 49ers @ Dallas Cowboys (-9.5)
(PK) Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints (PK)
(+2) New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins (-2)
(+3.5) New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans (-3.5)
Enjoy, good luck and have a good Sunday!
