im just curious how football fans prefer . nfl replay is an ok way to see a highlite form of a game if you did not see the game live . but i really dont enjoy personally watching the edited games in replay form . i much prefer the re-airs of complete games . the replay does not have a natural flow like a real game, and i dont really enjoy watching them . im curious how other fans feel on this ....

I enjoy the 30 minute snap to snap commercial free replays quite a bit. I don't need to hear the announcers talk to enjoy the game.

i guess for me a game is also like an environment you go to. i want to see the punts, the penalties, the "boring" parts with the plays . many times a "meaningless" play has something in it that creates an "important " play right after . i joke about it, but for me a game really is identical to a book . take out a few punts and penalties , and it is just like skipping over pages in a book . you can still follow the story and focus on the important parts, but you are not going to get totaly engulfed in the experience as much . looks like im in the minority here which is fine . im just basically curious if most people feel like me, a split, or people prefer the shortened version . i think i also respond to the field environment a lot . i usually select a game that is out side over dome . i find watching a dome game is too artificial for my preferance . probably something unimportant to most fans also . thanks for those votes and comments...

I like the Replays.

The anticipation of who wins is not an issue, obviously.

But the coaches' and players' statements interspersed at key points during the replay adds some nice insight IMO.

I agree although domes don't bother me much.

wow , im suprised such an overwhelming majority like the short games . and comments like the half hour show the best . i have no problem with people being different , so im not putting anyone down for likeing something dif than me ,but its kind of got me miffed how few like the game in its natural form. so would people rather watch a condenced half hour die hard , james bond action or any movie instead of the 2 hour version ? is it because fantasy football is about the stats and not the atmosphere ? just curious ...

It's a Microwave society we live in. Everyone wants instant gratification.

Or three hours is just too damn long in the first place. Especially with something like 7 minutes of action actually happening. Get completely used to a continuous-action sport like hockey or soccer and the NFL is almost impossible to watch.

The replays are great. Post game interviews and comments inserted after specific plays are very informative and well executed.

I do miss a few things here and there. But the overall production value is very good.

:goodposting: The other benefit is that if you want to catch up with other games/teams, it's easy.

I like the replay... but I just wish they wouldnt skip any plays at all. Seems they always remove about 5-10 plays per showing.
This. The huddle takes 10-15 seconds. The play takes about what, 3-4? And then there are the end of quarter and end of half delays, not to mention the timeouts.I think it should be every play, snap to whistle with maybe a graphic display of the penalty summary when penalties occur.I think they could show every play and still shorten the game considerably.

A good number of the game delays are manufactured, anyway. How often do you see a team score and then...a slew of commercials. Then there's a kickoff and...a slew of commercials. What have you seen in that time? A kickoff to the 23?

I like the quick replays. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
