NFL Supplemental Draft (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if there will be one this year? I know the NFL doesn't conduct one every year and I haven't heard anything about one this year. The reason I am asking is one of the leagues I am in has a rule stating that we won't start our rookie draft until the 1st Monday after the NFL supplemental draft is held. If there's no supplemental this year then we can start anytime. Anyone have any info? And if there is one this year, any info on who might be in it? Thanks.

The definitive info is : YES, if someone declares. Since noone has declared for the supplemental draft, there is not one scheduled.

The supplemental draft does not include individuals that were eligible to be drafted this past weekend. So we will not know for sure for about a month. It is likely that some kids will do poorly in school and will face eligibility issues - thereby helping them to make the decision to go pro.

If it is scheduled, it should be arround the same time as last year.

Geez, why so impatient? The supplemental draft is almost always in the summer. If the point of the rule is to wait until the summer, why not just wait?

What's not definitive about my answer? They have one every year if a player declares for it. If no one declares, there is no point in hosting a draft with no eligible players.

I know if there are players who declare there will be a supplemental draft. What I was trying to find out is if anyone knew if there had been any players declare so far and if so when it would be. Thanks to all who helped out here, and I think I've got the answers now.

tex the draft just ended, who's gonna declare? They all got drafted. Give it some time and maybe somebody will get in a situation to forgo next year's draft. But since the season hasn't started yet, I don't see anything any time soon.
