So I take it there are no "incentive" clauses in NFL contracts,like,um,making the Pro Bowl and getting paid more(as an "incentive") to win the game. And I guess making the Super Bowl and receiving more money for winning the game is not an "incentive".

If he was attempting to begin real discussion about bounties in the NFL, and the Packers example specifically, the OP chose the most 'toolish' way possible to do so.It's a slippery slope. On the surface this example seems harmless but I understand why the NFL would be uneasy with it. It's one thing for some defensive backs and lineman to challenge each other...however, that can get ramped up to "Charles Martin" type bounties in a hurry. See Tom Brady's knees and head during a blowout (to bring it full circle). The NFL is correct in limiting these types of activities.

If it's outside the rules, I don't like the rule. The Packers do still have to follow even the bad rules, though. In way of comparing it to NFL cheating scandals, I'd say it's pretty weak. It rates well below even having one player roided up or pumping in artificial noise. If I had to compare it to something, I'd compare it to really bad taunting.

look at their record last year and compare it to this year.

I realize there are actually some quality Patriot fans but posters such as eom (plus twitch and a few others) have been so obnoxious in their enthusiasm for the hometeam that other people are beginning to hate them. I'm glad to see you're not one of the tools but I'm sure you've realized while every team has some idiots, Boston crazies seem to be louder and more obnoxious than usual. He was all over GB running up the score a few weeks ago trying to stir up the same anti Pats sentiment that they brought on themselves.
