NFL Trivia: When was the last time a game was delayed for bad weather (1 Viewer)

It's going to be ugly in Cleveland. I'm REALLY hoping, for fantasy reasons of course, that the game is delayed until Sunday. When was the last time an NFL game was delayed due to weather like this? It might be -20 below with wind chill.

That won't be enough to delay the game. Besides, I'm only seeing wind chills around zero.

Ike postponed Houston/Baltimore last season.

I can't see the Cleveland game being delayed.

I remember sitting in Arrowhead watching my Colts beat the Chiefs in the playoffs of '96, it had to be at least that cold. Of course I am a dome baby and was drunk, so I would have swore it was subzero even if it was 56 and cloudy.

I thought Dolphins & Chiefs got delayed one year in Arrowhead.

As for the weather for the Browns/Steelers game, I don't think it'll be as bad as everyone says. As of 9:20pm EST, weather channel is saying temp around 22 with some flurries anywhere from 1-2 inches and winds of 10-20mph. The '08 Browns/Steelers in Cleveland was actually worse. Hurricane Ike passed through and winds were about 30-45MPH with some rain. 10-6 was the final with some bad passing. TV showed how the wind was affecting the pass game.

Here is the latest severe weather alert from TWC and it looks like there is a chance that the worst of the windy weather may blow through tonight. For Pitt fans, let's hope for a Brady like 6 TD performance this week in a snow filled game earlier this year. :)

There was also a Dolphins/Chiefs game that got moved up due to a tropical system like 3-4 years ago.

The Bucs / Saints game in Tampa was delayed mid-game last season due to Lightning...IIRC about an hour.

Recently, the Packer/Giant playoff game was colder than this is expected to be.
Don't know how cold that game was but I froze my butt off sitting outside for 4+ hours to watch that game in Lambeau. Never saw that game on television, as I was there, but I want to watch that game again and see what the tv crowd saw.
