Only five times since 1970 has a team drafted a QB in the first round and had another QB on the roster make the Pro Bowl that coming season.

BTW, here's a list of some other 1st round QBs that played behind some guys who had good but not Pro Bowl years.

Daunte Culpepper, Jeff George, 1999. George left the following year.

Trent Dilfer, Craig Erickson, 1994. Erickson left the following year.

Mark Malone, Terry Bradshaw, 1980. Bradshaw returned and stayed as the team's starter in 1981.

Mike Phipps, Bill Nelsen, 1970. Nelsen returned and stayed as the team's starter in 1971.

Tony Eason, Steve Grogan, 1983. Grogan stayed but lost the job to Eason in '84.

Carson Palmer, Jon Kitna, 2003. Kitna stayed but lost the job to Palmer in '04.

Jason Campbell, Mark Brunell, 2005. Campbell and Brunell split time evenly in '06.

Jim Harbaugh, Jim McMahon, 1987. McMahon stayed as starter the following year.

Also, some first round QBs that followed some stud QBs who did not have studly years.

David Klingler, Boomer Esiason, 1992. Boomer left after '92.

Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, 2005. Favre stayed as QB after '05.

Richard Todd, Joe Namath, 1976. Namath left after '76.

J.P. Losman, Drew Bledsoe, 2004. Bledsoe left after '04.

Tommy Maddox, John Elway, 1992. Elway stayed as QB after '92.

Tommy Kramer, Fran Tarkenton, 1977. Tarkenton stayed as QB in '78.

Chad Pennington, Vinny Testaverde, 2000. Testaverde stayed as QB in '01.

Jack Thompson, Ken Anderson, 1979. Anderson and Thompson split time in '80.

That is not right. SanDiego drafted Manning, not RiversAnd Stouffer/Lomax is the 5th
Yes and Yes.Good job.
Sorry, I forgot there's still one more out there. It's Bill Kenney and Todd Blackledge. Since the Cards traded Stouffer after he held out, I dropped him after the initial results, since I wanted to focus on what happened the next year.

Worth noting, that of the four prior situations that Quinn and Anderson are now in, three times the rookie QB barely played at all in his second year, and the fourth one (Blackledge and Kenney), the sophomore only played due to an injury.
