NFL Trivia (1 Viewer)

Who was this NFL player who had two nicknames and what were they?

Hint #1: Played before and during the 70s

Hint #2: Could be a pet, and both names are separate from one another.

Hint #3: One nickname has two words and the other nickname has one.

Hint #4: He played with a HOF QB and they didn't get along.

Hint #5: His name consists of two first names.

Hint #6: He's a 4 time Pro Bowler and he's not in the HOF, but most think he should be.

You may not have been thinking Fischer, but he fits all of the criteria.
I've watched the NFL since the 60s and I've watched a lot of games with Fischer, and I don't ever recall him having one nickname, let alone two.ETA: I googled Fischer and nicknames and I finally found one that had "mouse" as his nickname. I can tell you that I've never heard him referred to as "mouse" , and I doubt if it was used very much.

Before hints #4 and #5 were posted, I was thinking along the lines of:

Cowboys RB Walt Garrison

"puddin'", or "lil' puddin'."

And Lance Alworth

"Bambi"

Just couldn't recall a second one for either, although it seems Walt had one that I can't recall.

This is not a good trivia question.
Why, because you can't get it?
No, because "Who was the NFL player who had two nicknames and what were they?" is impossibly vague, and then it took six strange clues to nail down the mostly arbitrary guy you were looking for. It's like if I asked "Who was the NFL QB who wore #16?" and then kept giving clues until you figured out I was talking about Mike Ernst.

Curtis was hardly arbitrary given the clues. Look if you didn't have anything worth while to say in this thread, why didn't you just ignore it?

As someone who asks a lot of bad trivia questions, even I think this one is not a good one.

Just like Ernst would hardly be arbitrary once I gave you six specific clues that described him. A good trivia question should highlight something unique and interesting. Having two nicknames is neither. But if you like it, I'm glad you got to ask it and have it answered. I apologize for offending you.

Exqueeze me for the bad trivia question lol. I'll try to make the next one worse.

Mike Curtis?
:kicksrock: He was the Mad Dog and the Animal. And he feuded with Unitas. I wouldn't say that most feel like he's a HOFer, though.

I did an extensive podcast on him here -- http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=2911
So you don't think he's done enough to be a HOFer? He was pretty damn good.
He was pretty damn good. I wouldn't say that most feel like he's a HOFer, though. Most probably go HOVG.
