NFT Anonymous Group - Where we frivolously spend crypto gains on digital animal cartoons. (1 Viewer)

This thread title may be the currently saddest title on this forum. Hope you guys got out before losing too much skin.
Not buying and selling like I was 9-12 months ago but a good portion of what I still own has retained value. Winter is probably going to last another year or so but most in the space are still building for the next wave. NFT's definitely have a PR problem but it's mostly with people who don't even know what they are and who will never be in the game regardless. Tried to convince friends to play DraftKings Reignmakers all summer and into the early part of the season but nobody would play because it's NFT based. Their loss. It's going to be a $20k+ profit for me this season with Reignmakers. Way more fun than regular DFS.

Purchased Tom Brady Draft kings IPO.
Cant remember how much, quite a bit.
Looked to sell with 2nd retirement. worth $35. OOF

Not my game

OK this one has my attention.

Freeport, a soon-to-be-launched blockchain-based platform that allows people to invest in fine art, is offering an exclusive four-piece collection of prints from pop artist Andy Warhol.
According to a press release, the four works were "partially acquired" from well-known art collectors, including Jane Holzer. The collection will include prints of some of Warhol's most famous works – including "Marilyn" (1967), "Double Mickey" (1981), "Mick Jagger" (1975), and "Rebel Without a Cause (James Dean)" (1985) – and will be limited to 1,000 tokenized lots each.

😂 How smart for the collector who sells part of their art for tokens. Look ma, I own a piece of Andy Warhol’s painting even though it’s still on the wall of the collector’s house.

Unless you are stacking physical precious metals, is this not true for most investments? Stocks, futures, commodities, crypto, etc.

Not really IMHO. The owners of Apple, even current employees, have the same stock certificates so to speak. Also, dividend paying stocks do distribute real money. In this case, the collector who sold a partial amount is counting the money received while sipping wine and looking at their artwork. I understand the notion of partially owning things and then you get paid when the thing is sold. I was also making a joke that the collector is still enjoying their artwork, making 5.5% interest on the money thee received and deciding when to sell and for how much while the NFT owners hang out with a block and less cash.

I assume someone posted the "the red pill makes you poor, the blue pill makes you mentally ill... I bought NFTs... you ate both pills?!?" meme already

A project I have been involved with is now live with an actual horse racing game, where you can own, breed, race and also gamble on horses. We just went live a couple of months back and things are progressing along. The horses have come down in price since the craziness of Jan 2022 but there has been no other rug. The team building this game came from Madden football and we have high expectations about growing it to new audiences. They have a partnership in place with the Kentucky Derby.

photofinish.live is the racing platform
