NHL Off-Season thread:Down goes Kane! (4 Viewers)

Zadorov, Grigorenko, No. 31, mJT Compher for RYan Oreilly and Jamie McGinn.
per Dreger, this is the deal.Murray loves shipping out all the prospects. Guess this team isn't ####### around anymore.
I don't love it.
Ryan was a 2nd round pick and while he was very good last year was a struggle to watch IMO. He didn't go to next level and stayed near the same on offense. In fact he seemed weaker along the boards. So we get 2 new first round picked guys and a 2nd rounder who is at Michigan. Zadarov is a 6 4 defenseman. Avs need that more than a center and now some added depth. Avs in AHL are weak. They have to get some guys in the pipeline.

Hard to believe Sweeney couldn't have gotten into the top five if they really wanted Hanifin like everyone believed. So again, who knows?

Well, now I throw up my hands.
You can get 3 really good, cheap young players still. Helps a lot with the cap issues.
I agree. I'd still be shocked if Sweeney makes all three picks ... just saying I have no idea what the end game is now.
at this point I hope he doesn't make a stupid offer to move up to try to save face. Now that Provorov is off the board I'm satisfied standing pat

I have no interest usually other then the Canes. But can't wait to see what Boston does and see what midget JR drafts for the Pens.

Murray has always said he wanted to turn prospects & assets into young, established players. Kane & O'Reilly fit that. Grigorenko has talent but thrown into bad situation with Buff - needs change of scenery. Zadorov I hate to lose as he projected as top line D but think he turned people in org off a bit last yr with immaturity. Compher I also like. Going back to Mich for soph yr & led team in scoring.

Hanifin not NHL ready? I know he was a good pick because of here but not big on scouting, so I have no idea.

Do the Bruins brass walk up and down the stage 3 times?

It would be really cool if they just rattle off 3 names and have a stage party.

1st looks pretty good. :thisthingon:

Also, the Hawks have let go of a ton of talent and still dominate by keeping the core.

Bruins get Bob McKenzies number 43 at 15. This is a train wreck day.

Hopefully Goodell announce a ban on Brady for a year in the next hour

After all those Boston picks, it appears Edmonton has traded the 16th pick to the Islanders.

16 and 33 picks go to Islanders for Griffin Reinhart.

Love the deal for the Oilers. Reinhart was a Edmonton Oil King as a Junior.

Is there a need to reach when you have three second-rounders? That kid better be good because I have a feeling there are gonna be a lot of eyes on him after today's moves...
