Nice article on Jennings and Fitz (1 Viewer)

Those are the types of guys I want on my team. I was souring on Jennings, but I'll definitely hold on to him now. I feel pretty confident he'll work hard in the off-season to get back to his '08 numbers. And who knows what he'll do in the playoffs.

I love seeing that kind of piece, because it reinforces just how much players have to work. It's amazing to read that Larry Fitzgerald, the receiver at Pitt who made some of the most incredible catches you'll ever see in college football, says he lacks the physical talent of a player like Greg Jennings. It goes to show you that each player has a unique amalgamation of skills, talents, and flaws and that a lot of players don't work at their games once they get that initial taste of NFL money. Very telling about why you see extremely talented players not have the impact you'd think when you see them in college and why others work their way into a great situation.

That and how close some of these players from different teams are and how they enjoy working with each other and pushing each other to get better. And as a Packer fan, nice to see a guy who got paid very well not just sit back...but actually go out and work harder and earn his money.I loved last year when money started coming up that he kept saying he did not want to talk about it during the season, did not want to distract on the field at all and that it would work itself out through his agent in the offseason. That he could not worry about that, he could just control how he played. Very nice to see from him and from some others recently.

:goodposting: work ethic is the most underrated characteristic in football players.
