nice new yahoo plus feature (keepers) (1 Viewer)

I know many folks on this site like to bash yahoo but my 2 leagues have used them for the past

8 years or so and have been very satisfied. Maybe because we don't have any exotic scoring

needs and have pretty standard rosters. But we do have keepers in one of my leagues and

yahoo never really handled them before this year.

One of the drawbacks of yahoo in the past was that we couldn't name our keepers in advance

and place them on each team's rosters before our live draft started (yahoo's live draft applet is

great, btw). We basically had to handle keepers by having each team draft their 3 keepers in the

first 3 rounds of the draft.

But NOW yahoo allows the commish to select pre-draft players (keepers) and place them on

the roster of each team before the draft starts.

I just wanted yahoo folks to know that this handy new feature exists if they wanted to

take advantage of it.

Worth the $$$ for the yahoo premium league. At $120, that's 10 bucks a manin a 12 team league. If you go for the free yahoo league and then you pay $10

for their Live Stat Tracker feature, you might as well make the league a premium

league and get the Stat Tracker for free plus the other features.

I've had satisfactory results from using Yahoo's free and premium leagues. Very reliable. I think most dont like them because of the simplicity... but for basic scoring leagues, they are well worth the money.

But the point is, you can get so much more, for less money with other sites.

One thing I will say I like about Yahoo is the stattracker. That is the only advantage I like Yahoo over myfantasyleague for. The stat tracker is very nice and very easy to use compared to myfantasyleague live scoring. Once myfantasyleague can get their live scoring to update as smoothly as Yahoo's, they will win hands down, but until that point the stat tracker on yahoo is very nice.

Exactly. If you're going to pay, might as well go MFL. Way more bang for the buck.
