Nice polo shirts for business (1 Viewer)

Need to order some new polo shirts with logo for business. Last ones we got were crappy. Want to get something nicer this time. Any suggestions?

I have a friend who does shirt printing as a side business, so I think I can give you a good practical suggestion.

Go to a local gym, one that has intramural league (basketball, volleyball, street hockey, whatever) and ask him who does their printing. It's likely a guy who can get whatever type of shirts you want (short-sleeved, long-sleeved, polo, sweatshirts) and print whatever you want on them. If he's any good, you should be able to meet with him in advance and have him show you samples that will give you a literal feel for the quality of the shirts, along with pricing models for all of them.

The Macy's Club Room ones aren't total crap, and retail under twenty bucks. The Old Navy ones seem okay, too, and are even cheaper. Don't know about total no-name brands, though.

I was going to suggest hanging around a gym and talk up some guys there, but I see that that's already been posted.

Love Nike Dri-fit. Greg Norman has quality shirts too. I have golf shirts over ten years old and they still look brand new. Depends on what material you go with though.

Nike Dri-Fit Golf Polo and it isn't close. Had our company logo embroidered on them. These things fit perfectly and are comfy as hell. And you can golf in them. What's not to like? (other than them being a bit pricey after embroidering)

Is this "hang around the gym" thing some sort of schtick? Hell, I barely want to research it on the web. That's why I came here. I just want a link.

I still wear the Lands End ones that I received about 8 years ago while working as a contractor (Contractor House Logoed). I know they were very reasonable and Lands End did the logo embroidering as well.

Walk me through this... you bought the shirts online and then took them somewhere local to the them embroidered?

Reach out to the local youth sports teams or even the YMCA in your area and find out who is making their logo'd shirts. Its usually someone local. Do you have your business logo as a high quality digital image already? If not its not a big deal but it can save you some money to have it already. Its going to cost a bit to digitize the image otherwise.

Here is one brand I have worn in the past. They have differing levels of quality depending on your budget and most companies that do screen printing and embroidery will be familiar with them.

I second the Nike Dri-Fit as well.

You need to find someone that does the embroidery first. Typically they can source the Nike or Under Armor shirts for you. Many times for less than retail. Then they charge you a fee to embroider them. Obviously that price goes down the more shirts you order.

:lmao: No ####.

No, there is a company near me that does customized company products. Pens, shirts, umbrellas, etc. They have a showroom where we went and picked out the shirts. Then we paid them to convert our logo into the format they need to embroider the shirts with.

My friend has a company that does this. He's awesome. He does them for our golf tourney every year but has tons of corporate customers. How many shirts are you talkin'?

OK, sounds like this is what I need to do. How much should I expect to pay?

For work we have a local embroidery company and they have sample shirt and other clothing at their shop. They order the clothes, embroider and you pay them.

This will vary based on what shirts you get and the number of shirts you get. I'd imagine approximately the retail price of the shirt plus ~$5/shirt or so, maybe better if you are getting a bunch - say 50 or more? Would probably vary by shop. I worked at a shop that did this kind of stuff for a little while, and the Nike Dri-Fit shirts were popular. As already mentioned I remember seeing that you could order stuff from Lands' End and they would embroider it for you, but no clue as far as quality.

We did a Google search and found a local company that sources their own shirts (from virtually any supplier) and does their own embroidery. Good prices, too -- Nike Dri-Fit for about $30 each with logo.

I agree, Search "Your town" embroidery.

Go there and pick. Shirts are either 100% cotton, Blended between Polyester & cotton, or 100% poly.

Shirts are bucketed in: good, better, or best. Pricing will average probably $20, $28, $35 embroidered. I would expect to get 1 year out of a good shirt and 5 years out of the best.

Creating the embroidery '1x set up fee' will cost based on the stitches needed to create your logo.

I own a small business that specializes in embroidery so if you need more info let me know.

We had our new shirts done with Nike Dri-Fit and they are awesome. Super comfortable and they look great. Highly recommend.

I second Lands End. Our company uses them. The prices are reasonable and good quality shirt, comes to you embroidered.

Was searching for tips on finding a new gym and this was the first thread that came up. Guess my best bet is to head down to Dillards and ask the cashiers where they work out.
