FoxSportsRadio is reporting this morning that Nick Barnett, LB, Green Bay was arrested this morning after an altercation with two (!) women in a bar. I've scoured the internet this morning and have been unable to determine if this is indeed factual. Does anybody see any fallout from his arrest (via the team or via the commish).

No, no, no, no... He WAS NOT arrested this morning. He was arrested earlier in the summer and only now has been CHARGED.The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal reports:Packers MLB Nick Barnett will be charged with two misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation at a nightclub in June.Barnett faces up to 90 days in jail or $2,000 in fines, but of more concern for the Packers is that he may be suspended a game or two during the season.

APPLETON, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett was charged Tuesday with two counts of disorderly conduct stemming from an altercation with two women in a bar this summer.

"We will enter not-guilty pleas to the two charges and will defend these charges aggressively," lawyer Avi Berk said.

The Packers, who gave the 26-year-old Barnett a six-year, $34.85 million contract extension in April, have monitored the situation since Barnett's arrest, but have previously declined to comment.

NFL spokesman Randall Liu has said that the case is subject to league review under the terms of the NFL's personal-conduct policy.

The two misdemeanor charges carry a maximum combined penalty of six months in jail and a $2,000 fine.

well if he was charged but has had no hearing yet is it possible that the hearing happens post season?the nfl couldnt act if he pleads not guilty until after the trial at the earliest right?

he won't be suspended this year. I don't think he'll even be found guilty.
