I have been offered Nick Markakis for Jake Peavy and am leaning towards taking the deal. I am fairly deep at pitching and figure I can always find pitching throughout the year but a hitter like Markakis is a rare find. Peavy has a few risks with injuries and being traded but Markakis is a solid youngster who will only improve. He can help me in AVG, OBP and BB. Should I do the deal? Here are the league parameters:

It is 10 team Yahoo H2H Categories with H, 2B, 3B, HR, RBI, SB, R, AVG, OBP, BB and IP, W, L, CG, SHO, SV, BB, K, ERA, WHIP.

C Chris Iannetta

1B Lance Berkman

2B Brian Roberts

3B Evan Longoria

SS Hanley Ramirez

OF Corey Hart

Util Conor Jackson

SP Ervin Santana

Take it. Markakis is a stud. In a 10 team league many good pitchers can be had off the wire in the first couple months. This is a no brainer.

I pulled the trigger and made the trade...

Thought process was if Markakis was there for my pick instead of Peavy I would have taken him.

The league is H2H category and Markakis is helps out alot in AVG, 2B, RBI, BB, OBP, R and really doesn't hurt in anything. If he can turn 10 of his 48 doubles last year into HRs than he is an absolute monster. I have some depth in pitching if my youngins help out, if not I can always find some on the WW.

Thanks Finless for the extra boost I needed to make it.
