Nick Swisher Injury (1 Viewer)

Per rotoworld...

Nick Swisher was removed from Tuesday's game because of a strained left hamstring.

Not good news. An ankle or knee injury likely would have seen him day-to-day. That it's the hamstring increases the chances that he's DL bound. With Travis Buck sidelined, the A's currently have Danny Putnam in center field and Marco Scutaro in right. They also have Bobby Kielty as an option, but they'll need to call up a real center fielder -- probably Charles Thomas -- if Swisher has to miss some time.

Just as he was starting to heat up an injury that can linger for weeks. Hopefully, a mild strain.

"It's no big deal. I'll check it out tomorrow and hopefully be back in the lineup as quick as I can," Swisher said. "I feel fine."
