Nicks out a few weeks (1 Viewer)

That severly hurts the Gmen coming down the stretch for sure.. from wondering if they were the top of the NFC just a couple of weeks ago to this team is going to have to scratch and claw to make the playoffs

So he misses the good matchups and will make it back in time for playoffs week 15 and 16 against Philly again and GB? Don't know how the injury affects performance when he gets to play again but i guess that means he's pretty much going to be unplayable for the rest of the year.

Too bad they put Victor Cruz on IR earlier in the season with what seemed like a non-serious injury. Cold weather setting in and down Smith and Nicks makes this Eli Manning owner wanna :blackdot:

It's hard to say, we'll see how it goes after him being off a week or two and the news we get leading up into those games. He obviously wasn't himself last night so he didn't do all that well but if he was 100 percent, playing at home against Philly although I don't love the matchup I wouldn't bench him. Manning hardly went to him after awhile because he was dinged.Same with the Green Bay game, who's to say that game didn't turn into a shootout. If Nicks was healthy, I'd start him. It'll be just determining if he's healthy or not.

Right, but won't Manningham get the best coverage now? Seems like Boss might get more targets and they will have to find a WR2 somewhere.

Normally you want to say upgrade this and that but with Nicks and Smith both out I hink the Giants are bowing out of the playoff race for now. Rough times ahead for Eli and crew.

Manningham is a terrible route runner. Giants are obviously missing Steve Smith. I guess Manningham can now take Hick's spot since he is more of a vertical threat.

All I can say is what a year for me. I have had Finley, Romo, Stafford, Nicks, Grant, D. Clark, M. Clayton, A. Collie and P. Thomas all go down and down for along time this year. I'm starting to hate playing Fantasy because of it...Wow, whats next...I also have BMW is hurt!!!!!Pulling my hair out right now..

Probably so, but they should run Jacobs and Bradshaw into the ground and see what happens.

Finley, Avery, Rice, Collie, and now Nicks for me.

Nicks is at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York this afternoon undergoing a fasciotomy to treat the injury, according to the Giants.
FWIW
I think this is good news. I'm going to convince myself that he comes back for the last two playoff games feeling great from his 3 week break. This will ultimately be good news for teams that have locked up their first round byes, yeah... I'm buying into that. Also eliminates the chance that he gets hurt in the next 3 weeks. This is good. Good news today. Shelve my WR1 for the rest of the meaningless games, let him rest up for my first playoff game. Loving it.

He just had surgery. He needs to recover from that, get back into football shape and take the rust off. I wouldnt want to start him on his first week back, but I may have to. This is terrible news.
