Where do you guys see Niles Paul's long term value? Can he be a top 6-10 dynasty TE by the end of the year or is he just a flash in the pan?
Last year we saw Reed climb up to the #5 dynasty TE in quite a hurry. We also saw Boykins value spike, only for Cobb to come back in front if him and for the Packers to draft a WR in the 2nd, 5th, and 7th rounds.
Some reasons out there to think he's just a redraft plug n play are that Jordan Reed will be back from his injury at some point in the near future, and that a lot of guys explode in situations like this because the defenses focus elsewhere, like shutting down Garçon, but will soon adjust.
On the other hand, Reed may be back but for how long till he gets injured? I heard a rumor that the coaches were frustrated last year with his injuries and constant missed time. If there's one think in fantasy football that's irreplaceable and gives you the hugest weekly advantage, it's getting WR1 numbers out of your TE. I don't think this guy is Gronk or Graham, but so far he looks like he can produce Hernandez/Reed type numbers, especially since he did it with both RG3 and Cousins throwing it.
Too say the least, I'm intrigued. How long will his value last, and how much of your waiver budget would you say is worth dumping on him?
