**Niners at Phins** (+1.5, 44.5) 4:25 (1 Viewer)

Much like Jets/Rams, I think this could be a very fantasy deciding game. Both these teams are pretty much out of the playoff race, but not bad enough to start to tank.

I think this sets up as a nice Tyreek Hill week. No Waddle, and SF is pretty good against TEs, and RBs out of the backfield. Not saying I'd be benching Achane/Jonnu, but I think Hill could have a nice game.

For SF, I think Brock Purdy is one of the more obvious bounce backs to see coming. It won't be pouring rain this week. I especially think George Kittle is a strong candidate for TE1 overall this week.

49ers-27
Dolphins-20

49ers will be on their practice squad at RB this week. This is a pad stat game for Purdy and Deebo. Meaningless as it was against CHI. Teams that are playing to nothing but next season. Good for FF players, sucks for those who don't.

Two underperforming teams have at it in South Florida
No snow
Could be a fun game
I can see Tua and Brock steadily matriculating the ball downfield
Long time consuming drives for both teams
Winner might be the team with the last possesion
I'll say...

Niners- 26
Fins- 23

This isn't a great matchup for Purdy IMO. The Dolphins pass defense is good. Even in better weather, this could be another stinker for Purdy and Tua will do enough to win.

I see Waddle is out. Soft…..so soft.

You watch Mahomes that first class gamer playing on a high ankle sprain and who knows what else, running around….Herbert played on a severe high ankle sprain…did not miss a game. Played with broken ribs last season…..

Waddle tweaks a knee

Out.

Jeeez what a soft puppy.

I'm still in the don't pay purdy camp
They are 1000% going too.

I was in the don’t pay Tua camp and they did.

This is today’s NFL.

Purdy led his team and was a
Muffed punt away from winning a SB and has won some huge high leverage games.

Let’s see this 49ers team has lost not 1 not 2 but three RB’s one of them being a monster in CMac.

Lost their #1 WR

LT been out a bunch

Defense has been ravaged.

Purdy doing what he can with what he has. He has proven things.

Tua has proven he can beat losing teams. That’s about it. So if that guy is getting 55MM

What is a QB who has led a team to a SB worth?

Yeah….they are paying him. They are all in on Purdy.

They certainly might and they can hope to be just like the dolphins or cardinals or maybe even the giants overpaying mediocre qbs and not having enough salary cap left to build a team

You know what…..I think most teams are gonna have a hardtime because QB salaries have ballooned out of control.

What’s Mahomes worth? Well he ain’t getting paid that. And neither did Brady.

And that’s why Brady has 6 and Patrick has 3 going on 4 until some team beats them…..and I am not convinced anyone will this season.

They just freaking win.

I think we agree that these mediocre qbs shouldn't be getting 50 million a season

It's going to sink teams long term

Jax is the next one that is going to try and figure out how to get out of Lawrence's contract next year

I still can’t believe Achane didn’t slide.

Really a boneheaded play. After 10 yards, go down. Win the game.

Just a selfish play. What if someone on defense got hurt after that? Really awful in a team sport.

I’m all tied up with my Lamb vs his green bay defense. In a decent spot. But was in a much better spot before Achane scored that TD.

But that’s the way fantasy go. I had a really fun back and forth battle today where both of us were exchanging haymakers. But neither of us could pull away.

Yeah, most of my day was back and forth until Chuba & a few others did their thing for me.

But man - gotta slide there. I’m not even talking FF. I’m sure that play had massive implications which is no doubt insane and causing millions of people’s fortunes to swing (not me, thank goodness) - but from a pure football standpoint it’s a bad play. They had the 1st. The game was over.

It’s a physical sport. The health of everyone on your team matters more than 1 dude getting a little glory.

Remember when Brian Westbrook slid and the fantasy football community lost their collective minds?
For me it was Gurley who had open grass for 3 yards and a crawl-in and fell down like he got shot.

Hurt so bad.

But it was a smart football play.

Guerendo had 2 long runs this year - and fell down at the 3 or 4. Game over.

Smart football.
