I'm going to post a poll in a few days.

I think the top two candidates are:

Hunter Pence

Corey Hart

But I don't want to miss out on others who could be in the mix, so I'm going to take nominations here.

Troy Tulowitski will have nice numbers as he's played the whole season. Really struggled in April but has hit well enough to get up to .275 now, 7 homers (4 in the last two weeks) and close to 40 rbi's.

Unless lincecum gets it together, he will be outside looking in. Bailey and Gallardo are off to great starts but need to be solid the rest of the way(too early to tell for them)Here are Hunter's #'sAB 210 R 27 H 74 2B 19 3B 5 HR 8 RBI 35 SB 6 AVG .352 When can he be considered eligible for the batting crown...because with 210 ABs he is .001 behind the NL batting leader. ESPN has him as not eligible with 210 ABs. I think it goes by plate appearances, because techincally Bonds only has 170-something ABs

I bet people are always explaining things to you.I just realized I probably need to explain a little more for you....we are just making a list and then he is going to make a poll you can vote on. You can vote for whoever you like. If you think there is a rookie that we havent mentioned that you would like to see in the poll than this is the place where you nominate them.

Braun's closer than you'd think. In 28 games he has 5 HR, 5 SB, 24 runs, and is batting .327. Obviously Pence has a little better overall numbers, but on a per game basis they are pretty comparable.

very possible, but if gallardo goes to the pen as reported, it will make it tougher for him. braun has been off to a good start, but pence has been better - so far.
