I thought this game was a big deal

whats been the most serious injury during a pro bowl?Meanwhile Brees gets knocked down twice on the first 3 plays... If I was Sean Payton I'm getting in touch with the sideline and telling him to sit for the rest of the day.
Drew Brees dislocated his elbow 7 years back.whats been the most serious injury during a pro bowl?Meanwhile Brees gets knocked down twice on the first 3 plays... If I was Sean Payton I'm getting in touch with the sideline and telling him to sit for the rest of the day.
I thought that was in the last game of the season for the Chargers? I recall it was a meaningless game too.Drew Brees dislocated his elbow 7 years back.whats been the most serious injury during a pro bowl?Meanwhile Brees gets knocked down twice on the first 3 plays... Anyone remember Robert Edwards? Patriots rookie running back that blew out his knee during a flag football game before the probowl.whats been the most serious injury during a pro bowl?Meanwhile Brees gets knocked down twice on the first 3 plays... If I'm a head coach I'm letting my players that you aren't allowed to touch one of your own guys.Derrick Johnson head shot to Jamal Charles.
Chiefs fans have heart attacks.
xTerrible game!!
I'm watching for a final score of like 63-56... Pretty pathetic so far, I don't think most are tuning in for defense.
I'd be fine if they got rid of this game.
Ward on Cribbs. Not as bad a shot.If I'm a head coach I'm letting my players that you aren't allowed to touch one of your own guys.Derrick Johnson head shot to Jamal Charles.

So you liked the 2012 pro bowl?I'm not saying it isn't competitive, but I'd just rather see a ton of points... That's me, I'm sure others disagree.
If they play this, I want to see a real game. That doesn't usually mean high scoring - if there's a good defense.I'm not saying it isn't competitive, but I'd just rather see a ton of points... That's me, I'm sure others disagree.
No flag for pulling Cam forward?
No picks? Highest QB rating?Nick Foles offensive MVP (on losing team)?? Hmmmm??
Not directed at you specifically, but Goodell really does know what he is doing. Was the first pro-bowl remotely worth watching in over a decade.
Pass rush relies a lot more on individual skill where offensive line play requires a lot more coordination and communication.I was entertained. How did the DL get so much pressure every play? Sacks were ridiculous on both sides.
right on both counts. He takes a lot of criticism for changing the game, but most of his decisions make for a more exciting game. Not real big on some of the DB/receiver contact rules, but they work if the goal is to make games exciting. Not directed at you specifically, but Goodell really does know what he is doing. Was the first pro-bowl remotely worth watching in over a decade.
A thousand times better than they usually are. Those uniforms... yikes.
This would be a great change. I like the ideal of using the pro-bowl to test out some new rules.Thought this rule they used was interesting
» Stopping of the Game Clock -- Beginning at the two-minute mark of every quarter, if the offense does not gain at least one yard, the clock will stop as if the play were an incomplete pass. This rule will make the team with the ball attempt to gain yardage toward the end of each quarter.
No kneeldowns to end the game. Wonder if they are thinking about implementing this for the last 2 minutes of the half and game.
The players on the LOSING team made 26K. Pretty sure a week in paradise costs less than that.Shutout said:Didn't watch a second of it so the five minutes I spent reading this thread is the entirety of my exposure.
Normally, the absolute only thing I care about re: the Pro Bowl is to know none of my FF players got a crazy injury (sad, but true).
It is really something that makes no sense in a game like this. Everything the NFL does is attempting to reduce hits so...let's play one more full game of hits and let's do it in a fashion where there is no real practice and the defensive guys can tee off on players?
It doesn't even make sense for the players to want it as a money maker. I have seen players on interview over there say dozens of times that if they play in and lose the game, they LOSE money because the week over there with family cost more than the game check (which I assure you is true, having been there and spent quite a lot just as a regular guy).
I do like the idea of the 2 minute rule people were describing for use in real games. Really compels teams to keep playing versus being ultra-safe.

Actually I think it was a beach football game. Sad deal - ruined his career :(Anyone remember Robert Edwards? Patriots rookie running back that blew out his knee during a flag football game before the probowl.whats been the most serious injury during a pro bowl?Meanwhile Brees gets knocked down twice on the first 3 plays... I think they also allowed some limited stunting at the line. Still no blitzes of course but the stunts enabled some guys to break through the line.Pass rush relies a lot more on individual skill where offensive line play requires a lot more coordination and communication.I was entertained. And she`s cute as helllllI actually liked the game...the rule changes, the uniforms, the commentary. and throw in a game that went down to the wire, and it was the best PB in a long time.
interesting story on the 4th quarter fence jumper too: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/27/pro-bowl-streaker-video-katrina-torres-_n_4675879.html
I wish they would have showed more of that, her chest bump attempts were epic.
