No Real Willie Parker News? (1 Viewer)

Not much to report. He is scheduled to practice on Wednesday and plans to play on Sunday. But it's only Tuesday.

Everyone seems to think he will play, but he hasn't even practiced yet. 2 weeks ago he practiced and hurt himself, then was out. Wait and see approach.

Coach Mike Tomlin is hopeful Willie Parker will be able to practice Wednesday and fight through his shoulder injury to play Sunday against San Diego, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

I posted a report earlier today immediately after Mike Tomlin's news conference. It contains the most up-to-date news on Willie -- at least until tomorrow's practice.

ESPN:

Parker (shoulder) participated in practice Wednesday and remains on track to play Sunday afternoon against San Diego, FSN-Pittsburgh reports.

Spin: Parker, who wore a shoulder harness in practice, still isn't a sure thing for Week 11. He'll be evaluated later in the week. Parker missed last week's loss against Indianapolis with a shoulder subluxation.

Thank you. That was Wednesday,

Does anyone have any idea what effect this will have on either his productivity, pain level or durability?

Like everyone, trying to figure out whether to hold on to Moore. Seems worth it for at least another week? Certainly paid off last week.

I think anyone who owns Parker has to hang on to Moore at this point. The Pitt running game has put up very good fantasy points the last4 weeks (starting RB avging 20fp/gm) so even if Parker starts this game,he still has a bum shoulder that could easily be reinjured. Why dumpa backup RB that has started 3 of the past 4 weeks for a team that isrunning the ball so well the last month? That being said...I might start LJ :excited: in place of Parker/Moore for fear thatParker's shoulder might get dinged during the game.

Willie Parker is not on the Steelers' Week 11 injury report.

Parker's removal from the report altogether means he is sure to start against San Diego. The Chargers' run defense is surrendering 4.0 yards per carry, ranks 13th in the NFL overall, and has given up six TDs in nine games.

Did he practice every day after Wednesday? Without limitation?

STill just trying to figure out if Parker or Moore is the smart play today. While looks like Parker will start, I'm in a PPR league and Moore may at least equal Parker's point production if they are easing Parker back into things.

Been looking around all morning and am not finding much more than is aready in this thread. The fact that they are a late game isn't helping the situation either, so I think what you see here is what you get. I understand that he practiced FULLY on Wednesday. Yes, he will wear the harness. Yes, he probably is a risky fantasy play (damn-it)...

PIT homers might have some additional insight; would love to hear what you got...

:tap tap:

Hello, is this thing on?

Any Steelers homers around this morning? What is the radio there saying?

decided to go with Parker over LJ (with report of limited carries for LJ today).

I'd rather have 15 willie Parker carries than 15 LJ carries this year by far.

I do have Mewelde on my bench so will be watching this thread for any late

news in case I need to make a last second swap. Pitt homers, please keep any

updates coming. tia!
