I live a couple of miles from the Stadium & the rain has pretty much stopped, though it's a little foggy. The wind is supposed to get up a bit later today as this crap moves out, but game conditions should be fine.Baltimore- Rained hard yesrterday and last night. Been drizzling all morning but should stop by kickoff. High 60's, low 70's.
Yeah, never rains in the fall.too early in the season for these threads
I'm 20 mins from Carlstadt NJ (25-30 or so from the stadium) and there is zero rain and it hasn't rained since I woke up at 7am.All reports for the Jets-Titans game said the rain should be done by 11am and that looks very accurate to me right now.Cousin in Carlstadt, NJ (a stones throw from Meadowlands) ... tells me as of now ... steady rain, light wind. Forecast calls for the same all afternoon, it appears. Been coming down pretty steady since 'round midnight here in NYC.
Does this knock down Edwards at all?in BUFFALO today...Cloudy and increasingly windy. High 74, Low 57. Calling for an afternoon shower, but the rain will not be the issue. WINDY in Buffalo/OP is never good.
yep. 10 mins from meadowlands. its been raining non stop since midnight or so. pretty messy out there.10 min from the Meadowlands, raining here.
Doesn't look promising for the weather come game time: http://www.weather.com/weather/map/interac...pnav_undeclared
Pats can't be happy about this. They can't run the ball, and Atlanta can. I was gonna tease New England from -4.5 to +4.5 in a 9-pointer... might have to take a pass now. I'll keep everyone updated.http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/...pnav_undeclared
Looks like it should be raining nonstop throughout the Falcons/Patriots game.
Agreed - we have these threads every year, and unless it's torrential, the rain often doesn't play a big factor. I know I've hesitated to start a QB/WR due to supposed rain and they have big games anyway. It's really the wind that can wreak havoc on the passing game.As for the games, I live about a half hour from the Meadowlands, and it just started raining harder. Not much in the way of the wind though. The Jets are likely going to have to throw the ball on the Titans to win, so I wouldn't let the weather impact your decision on starting Sanchez/Cotchery/Keller/Stuckey.Wind is more of a concern than rain.Balls are slippery when it first starts raining; but once they get soaked, it is manageable.
Wet field turf sets up nicely for the Pats short passing attack.Pats can't be happy about this. They can't run the ball, and Atlanta can. I'm only debating about switching kickers. How is the weather for the Baltimore/Cleveland game looking? True. Welker good to go?I'm no insider but I think he'll play based on what I've been reading.Wet field turf sets up nicely for the Pats short passing attack.Pats can't be happy about this. True. Welker good to go?
Think about that for a minute-Welker has a knee that has kept him out of practice and games. He didn't practice on Friday (or he only partially practiced-depending on what source your believe). Do you think it would make sense to play him on a questionable knee with a wet turf surface? Seems to me that he'd be more likely to sit with those conditions.I'm no insider but I think he'll play based on what I've been reading.Wet field turf sets up nicely for the Pats short passing attack.Pats can't be happy about this.
