*Not Very Official Vikings-Packers Pre-Game Thread* (1 Viewer)

Packer fans are stooping to new levels to find stuff to whine about this week.
Making fun of a dude with a voice box? Seriously?I'll be sure to throw in some Korey Stringer jokes.
Again, there's more oversensitivity coming from the Green N Yellow. The comment regarding his voicebox was clearly meant to indicate who was talking, and to distinguish him from all the other oldheads who stepped out of the old folks home to make their opinion of Favre known. Clearly the interesting factor was that he used the word "traitor" to describe a guy who was traded away from the Packers. The Packers traded away Brett Favre, or did you forget that? Obviously Fuzzy did. But maybe that's just alcohol related dementia speaking.
the old guy with the voice box calling favre a traitor was also some good stuff
Read it again, after you wipe the tears of indignation from your eyes, and you'll probably cool down.

From the scroll atop CBS Sportsline:

When Vikings QB Brett Favre arrived at Lambeau Field, he was welcomed by a plane overhead with a sign that read: "Retire 4 Good." Many fans have shown up wearing Favre's number 4 jerseys, both green and purple.

I think Rodgers will get more time to throw in this one. Just for the plain fact that this game is on grass instead of that crap they have in Minnesota. He'll get his, he's the best in the business at what he does, but he won't be getting 4 1/2 sacks in this one. If Aaron is able to get rid of the ball quicker, and I'm assuming McCarthy has been stressing this since their first meeting....then I think GB will win it. Easier said than done so we'll see what happens. Rodgers is quietly becoming one of the top QB's in the league. His one major fault is holding onto the ball, and most Packer fans have been saying that far before the Minnesota game.

Lang, although a rookie, can't play any worse than Clifton did. He's going to need help in pass protection but he's a far better run blocker than Clifton right now. If having him in the lineup helps get Grant going then Green Bay should be tough to stop.

Overall Minny is the better team. But at home....I think GB pulls this one out. It would make for a much more interesting 2nd half of the season. Favre coming back is good for drama and everything...but the importance of this game goes far beyond Brett.

LOL Scotty. I'm not really worked up. Just trying to get some Viking fans excited.

I'm with you, just playing along. It's been a great week and it'll be a great game, no matter what happens.

I hope the Green Bay fans keep booing Favre and he plays a few more years. It will be weird at first to see him in Vikings gear in Canton, but we'll all get used to it eventually.

Pro Football HOF isn't like the Baseball HOF. Players' busts have no team affiliation, just a plaque below it with the years and teams played for.

Nice to see Favre stick it to Thompson and the Packers organization again....oops.

Don't worry Thompson, there will be another Bust like AJ Hawk waiting for you at the top of the 2010 draft.

If the Packers don't make the playoffs I really hope Thompson isn't there to make another terrible early draft pick.

Learn the HOF rules first.Nobody goes in for one team or another.Nice game by Minny and Favre.Their D took care of the Packer offense early, and the Packers till could not find a way to get to him.Nice attempt at a come back...but all for nothing.
