Now that Regular Season Leagues are almost over (1 Viewer)

Okay. The regular season games are almost over. I have played in a couple of "Playoff Leagues" over the years, but have never set one up.

Anyone have any suggestions for playoff league formats that are simple and easy. Planning on inviting everyone from my current league plus guys from another league to join in one big "Playoff League". Or links with rules/payouts/etc.

TIA

The one that I am in is very simple. Pick 1 player from the 12 playoff teams.

2, qbs, 3 rbs, 3 wrs, 1 te, 2 k, 1 TD

We keep our scoring simple. 6 per TD, 5 points if they break 100 rush/rec, or 300 pass. 1 for extra point and 3 for FGs. Sacks, Turnovers and TDs are scored for Team Defense.

There is not as much strategy as far as guessing what teams will advance, but you always lose 1 player and advance 1 player from each game, so every team stays in it.

I run one and get roughly 125-150 entries each year at 10 per entry. It's very similar to the FBG Contest where you get a salary cap ($50) and have to select 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 2Flex (RB/WR Only), 1 TE and 1 K. Costs range from $13 to $4 for QB, RB & WR's, and $6 to $1 for TE, K. I've also included selection of 1 DL, 1 LB and 1 CB (no cost) to use as a) a limitation to the possibility of exactly duplicate teams and b) tie-breakers.

Pretty standard scoring system, except .5 ppr for RB, WR, 1 ppr for TE. Depending on how many entries I usually end up giving prizes to top 5. Lots of strategy involved, a wild card team that may get an extra game? A bye-week team that's more likely to go to the superbowl? A combination?

This is a cool setup. I'd change the scoring rules, though. MJD had a good game last night with 160+ total yards, but under this format he would have scored 0 points? Doesn't make sense to me.I really like the lineup/choice of players idea though.

I do 2

a 12 team redraft serpentine that goes 12th place regular season has 1st pick and champ has 12 back to back

then we do a everyone in pick 12 players one from each playoff team

start 2 qb,3rb,4wr,1te,1k,1d

the reason the scoring is simple like that is because usually someone is manually scoring it

I'm in a total points (for the playoffs) league where we start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE and 1 FLEX (RB, WR/TE) each week. Once you've used a player, you can't use him again. It's fun tyring to decide which players will perform best AND which teams are likely to advance.
