NY Jets at Miami (1 Viewer)

Geno Smith's problem is passing on 1st and 10.

His passing stats last week on 1st and 10:

4/13 42 yards

on every other down and distance:

16/23 172 yards 2tds 120 QB rating

The Jets running on 1st down last week:

13 carries for 105 yards

Powell had a 39 yard run on 1st down

Ivory had a 22 yard run on 1st down

Smith had several big gains on 1st down

The Jets should run more on 1st down.

 
Ok defense......time to step up and get a turnover here...cut the field in half for our wonderful offense.

Hartline.......no contact really at all.....bad step...something probably popped or strained.....but I don't like him just sitting on the table....getting nodding no's out of the trainer.

Ok Rishard.....time to step up.

Has anyone seen Mike Wallace today? Let's go guys. Playoffs in reach (like that will mean anything in the grand scheme) but it would be nice to play past week 17 for once.

 
Miller with the 10 yard dash.

Hartline....knee return questionable. Not encouraged with those non contact type injuries.

Incredible.....finally this coaching staff is getting Tanny out of the pocket...rolling him out...throwing on the run.....his biggest strength.

Took 17 ####### weeks. Bravo.

 
Miller with 4-5 tough yards......Dolphins 3rd and goal.

Let's go....Jets can't score today....get up on them!!!

 
Tanny missed an easy six again to Wallace.....sigh. Happened earlier. He just can't hit the deep ball.......at all.

Very alarming to me. He must work on this in the off-season if we are going to get the most out of our 60MM investment.

 
Still another half of football to go. But this is a homecoming for Geno....so I am very nervous.

Dolphins just suck.....they really do. If they lose this game the coaching staff must be fired. Lose two must win games in a row....you don't deserve your job. Clean house please. If they squeak into the playoffs....they will be retained another year. Hell they may be retained anyway win or lose today.

But this is just really bad coaching......really bad. Last two weeks have been disgusting. And Tanny not hitting a wide open Wallace has been a recurring theme week after week after week after week.

Mia has given up a league high 58 sacks, most in the NFL by 11. They also have a bottom 7 rushing offense and have lost 3 of their 5 starters on oline. The problem is the oline.

They give up sacks because opponents know they don't have to respect the run. They don't have to respect the run because 100% of Dolphin running backs are soft and weak.

 
Geno Smith's worst quarter this year is the 3rd quarter.

1st quarter: 2tds, 3ints 74.9 QB rating

2nd quarter: 5tds, 5ints 72.8 QB rating

3rd quarter: 0tds, 6ints 49.3 QB rating

4th quarter: 5tds, 7ints 64.9 QB rating

Maybe the Jets should focus on the running the ball this quarter. :D

 
Once again Ryan Tannehill shows what a major work in progress he is on the long ball as he overthrows Mike Wallace and Miami had a chance to bust the game open with a 14-0 lead but instead they misfire and they allow the Jets to get into rhythm on offense, as much in rhythm as you are gonna get if you're the Jets who are a piece of work to watch.

The rest is the Jets fire back and make it 707, then they hold Miami to 3 n out and drive it right back down the field. Defense showing no effort in the final 8:30 of the 1st half. Miami is in big trouble and the way they are playing they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. They are an average team, nothing more and nothing less. 8-8 is reflective of that and we are back to the usual Miami Dolphins home of MEDIOCRITY!!!

When you can't be good and you can't be bad, settle for mediocre and accept no substitute.

3rd and 21 and you allow a 21 yard QB run to Ryan Tannehill? Atrocious.

 
Ok no harm no foul...The Jets suck about as bad if not worse than us.....so we have that going for us.

Come on Tanny....get yer ### in gear and make some plays. Show us again why we should believe in you kiddo.

 
I haven't watched much of this game but every time I've seem Miller run he's running through and dragging tacklers.
