O-lines (1 Viewer)

Do offensive line rankings play into your draft strategy? How much more (less?) for re-draft vs dynasty?

My personal rankings (by tier)...

Top Tier: IND, NE, TEN, NO

Pretty Darned Good: HOU, ARZ, ATL, DAL, BAL

Avg Plus Tier: CAR, MIA, MIN, NYJ, NYG, CLE, SF

Avg Minus Tier: PHA, CIN, DEN, SD, CHI

On The Poor Side: TB, SEA, DET, JAX, PIT, KC, GB

On The Bottom: STL, BUF, WAS, OAK

i dont think about them when drafting in terms of moving players into and out of tiers, but when evaluating players within tiers i look at the line

I do look at offensive lines, but there's not as much information and rankings out there about them. And I probably try to look more at run blocking for o-lines than pass blocking. I think it's very useful to factor in the strength of the o-line when you're trying to determine the outlook of different running backs for the season.

I tend not to look at absolute O-line rankings but more about changes within o-lines. I bumped S Jax up last year because they drafted a LT high and signed a quality center. I would also compare two o-lines if a player moved from one team to another- Thomas Jones takes a big knock this year- but I don't worry about absolute rankings.

What do you do about guys like Spiller or Mendy (or McNabb)?

What's going to happen in WAS? Are any RBs likely to produce big numbers with Shanny despite lackluster blockers?

Will Bradford be worth taking early in dynasty, or will he be destroyed before he gets going?

Bradford should be fine. The Rams have brought in a high 1st, a high 2nd and a quality FA center the past 2 years on their line. Last year they had a really banged up o-line but there is hope for their line to approach league average the next 2 years.

Just curious if these are run blocking or passing blocking or general? Also, I would personally LOVE to make picks based more on o-lines (especially for RBs) but I don't feel there's enough quality information out there to make it a deciding factor.

I tried to factor in everything -- passing stats, running stats, general feel. I had to fudge it a bit for Indy vs SD. Similar stats, but...
