Oakland at St. Louis (1 Viewer)

Carr can't be judged until he gets some talent around him. That includes an NFL caliber RB, a #1WR, and an upgrade at TE. Manning couldn't make this group look good. So far, I like what I have seen from Carr considering the circumstances.

Sam Bradford says welcome to my world.
Hmmm, yet in the same thread there are multiple posts about the Rams having talent everywhere, and only a QB short of being a powerhouse. Hopefully Carr has a better career arch than Bradford.

Bump for anyone who watched the game to answer the q about Cook. He played, right? Was he in on similar number of snaps as usual? Any particular reason why he got the bagel?

Rams were hitting quick passes and slants to Tavon and Bailey and running with Mason. The game was out of hand really quick, so they didn't really need to change anything. They just spread the ball around too much for anybody to be a good FF option, with the exception of Mason.

Bradford had (to quote the great Jim Mora) diddlily-poo to work with in 2010 and 2011. It was atrocious, well below what Oakland or Jacksonville are putting out today. 2012 was a total gutting of the roster where they slapped together a bunch of UDFAs and hoped for the best. By the time the team started to gel, Bradford's knee was on a discount shelf at the Salvation Army thrift store. Think about this: what is the best receiver the Rams have had over the past five years. Answer: half a season of Brian Quick. And Bradford wasn't around to benefit from Quick turning the mental corner.

To sum up, the 2011 Rams were VASTLY different than the 2012 Rams, which is vastly different than the 2014 Rams (thanks to the Bob Trey trade).

Oh, and it's "arc."

got to watch the game today and the rams d is crazy. getting long back this week and a game under him....I know colt just put up almost 400 on indy, but after today it's going to be hard not to put the rams d in the lineup...

fair point. I was looking at the current roster, which isn't fair to Sam.

The Rams have added most of their talent these past 2 drafts thanks to the RG3 trade. Unfortunately, Sam has been hurt these past years and hasn't been able to take advantage of it.
