I totally understand Obama and the Dems wanting to play politics. They played politics with the black vote for 30 years before they passed the Civil Rights Act, and then they did it kicking and screaming the whole way. Latino activists are pissed off at this White House and the Democratic party and rightly so.

Let's be honest: in 2009 and 2010, Obama and the Dems had a majority in both Houses. They could have forced immigration reform through if they had wanted to then. They didn't because they know that the labor unions don't give a #### about this issue- in fact, their rank and file don't want amnesty.

I totally understand Obama and the Dems wanting to play politics. Let's be honest: in 2009 and 2010, Obama and the Dems had a majority in both Houses. They could have forced immigration reform through if they had wanted to then. They didn't because they know that the labor unions don't give a #### about this issue- in fact, their rank and file don't want amnesty.

And they also know that the majority of their African American base is against this issue.

Face it--more (and I am not trying to sound racist) Mexicans taking these lower paying jobs= less jobs for poorer black USA citizens and the recent study posted in one of the earlier threads proves this without a doubt.

I have strong doubts. In fact I don't believe it. But I do agree with you that many blacks are opposed to amnesty for illegals. I'm not sure it's a majority but it wouldn't surprise me.
