Ochocinco buys his fans dinner after the game (1 Viewer)

I'm finally starting to like this Ochocinco guy, it took a while to warm up to his antics, but they are in good fun. The guy makes me laugh. Earlier this season I was writing Chad (I refuse to call him Ochocinco) Johnson. I'm going to drop that, and call him what he wants to be called. I own him in one league, I wish I owned him in more. :lmao:

Ocho is starting to get it. Maturing from a whiney WR who was always crying to appreciating what he has, and what he has to offer to people..and enjoying the moment. Quickly becoming my favorite NFL player.

I wish other athletes would realize that their careers are short and they should enjoy every minute.

Someone told me last week that he was at a Best Buy and saw some kid looking at a Playstation so he told the kid to grab it with a bunch of games and meet him at the register (and of course Chad bought the kid the system and a ton of games). I've heard of plenty of these stories over the years from people who live in the area. Regardless of how he acted in front of the media for so many years, he's always been very appreciative of his fans and he constantly does things like this to give back to those who look up to him

That's very cool. I've been back and forth on Chad. He has always seemed to do things in good fun. You would see him flapping his jaws to the Steeler DBs and most of the time they were smiling and laughing, so you know he wasn't being a jerk. But then he seemed to go through a phase where he was trying a little too hard to call attention to himself. But he does seem to be a pretty good guy overall.

Don't know if anyone watched Hard Knocks but they really did a great job of showing Chad the person. The guy has a great personality and is well respected by his team and coaching staff. To this day my wife (not a football fan) still uses his terms (child please, kiss the baby, etc) because she thought he was so funny. I have always liked they guy and am glad to see that he is starting off well this season.

Was following along with this last night and laughing my ### off. Great guy. Love the fan interaction.

Ocho has never broken any laws or done anything bad. He just gets a bad rap because some people think players should keep their mouths shut and be boring. Ocho is fun and a great player and clearly a good guy.

I wonder if the Bungles were 1-3, if people would be saying he is way to concerned with the off field stuff and not focusing on football?

Winning sure makes everything so much more tolerable.

I think it shows how off base people are always trying to connect the two.

Good stuff. I'm 15 min from there...if I had known I would have been there! I follow his Twitters but just didn't look last night. I've heard quite about his work with charities around town too. I think we as fans can put up with his antics as long as they don't cross the line to become distractions (as in last year). I think he is one of those who not only loves playing football but appreciates his fans and having fun while doing what he loves.

Nice move by Chad!! Chad and the Bengals are creating a big buzz in this town with all the close wins this year. I hope they continue to do well.

He's by far my favorite player in the NFL and he's only increasing the distance between second place.

The NFL needs a lot more OchoCinco's, not less.

Some people fix up cars or fish on their leisure time, Ocho likes to relate with his fans. He's free to do what he likes when he's not at work.I wouldn't be surprised if someone stuck Ocho's name on a ballot after all this positive interaction.

Like losing brings out the worst, winning sure does bring out the best in people. You can't discount that, which is why I'm never one to overreact either way.

earlier tonight said he was going to be at gamestop for the midnight release of NBA2k9 and would buy games for whoever showed up.
