Here's how our playoffs work:

3 Division winners

3 Next best records

2 Most points who didn't get in from above.

I'm fighting for one of the "points" spots. I'm not getting in on record. There are a lot of variables that could play out but it seems that I have to lose this week to make the playoffs. This is due to the fact that if I win I may be competing with the person who I just beat for the last "points" spot which I would lose. If I lose, then the person I just lost to would now make it in on record thus bouncing another team who would have made it in on record to the "points" category which I would win.

What would you do?

I think any system that encourages you to lose to get in is flawed.

That being said, lose on purpose, get in the playoffs, and force your silly league to change the rules!

That is weird. I've heard of tanking for a better matchup which shouldn't be allowed, but when tanking increases your chances of making the playoffs, I couldn't blame you. Like AB said, if nothing else it should force a rule change.
