Oddest First Round Picks (1 Viewer)

Anyone have Brandon Jackson going before Lynch yet?I can see that one happening.
Why?Lynch is the better prospect, with the clearer path to starting out of the gates. Unless you're in Nebraska, why would BJ go before Lynch in any logical, shark dynasty draft?

Gaines Adams at 1.03. Standard 1pt tackle, .5 pt assist, 5 point sack type scoring. He'll be borderline rosterable this year. We have a taxi squad, but still...

Petersen was 1.01, CJ 1.02 and Lynch 1.04

Is his mother in your league? :goodposting:

Zach Miller at 1.07 in a league that does not start TE's. Beat that!
That's crazy, but in reality, Zach Miller is going to be awesome.Still, that's nuts.
I just got him at 27. Pretty happy about it (we have to start a TE - I have Gates and Dallas Clark... if Miller can replace Clark as my #2 in a year, I did really well here.)

calvin not going 1.01
I got him at 1.3 in one of my rookie drafts.
Even in PPC leagues Calvin does not deserve to be 1 and, IMO, 2 either. In both my leagues that do PPC there were 7 backs before the no. 1 WR. I know he is a talent but RB's like AD and Lynch you need to take.
7 backs? :lmao:
 Dynasty Draft this year...Adrian Peterson should be a consensus #1then I can see the argument for Lynch but I don't know how you can let Calvin Johnson slide by there...For me it's PetersonJohnson......Lynch.........

Just because there are always leagues where this happens. I have the 1.3 and there's no way I would do that, but homerism, gut feelings, and someone just taking a hunch could all result in the person with the 4th pick ending up very happy on draft day.

1.08 - Drew Stanton

1.09 - Brian Leonard

This was before Meacham, Bowe, Henry and Bush.

I do not think anyone will be able to beat that. WowI need to be in a league with that guy.
Same guy selected Adrian Peterson(Bears) with pick 2.07. He honestly thought that AD was still on the board. :lmao:
I like that pick. If Peterson's in the FA pool, I'd feel pretty comfortable with him being as good or better than all but 3-5 RB's or so from this class, and he's got a shot at a starting gig if Benson implodes.

I got him at 1.3 in one of my rookie drafts.

7 backs? :hifive:
What's funny? Overall, Marvin Harrison was the number 1 WR last year the top 5 RB's all had more points then him even in PPC leagues. It's f'n stupid to pass on a RB especially one with stud potential.

you made it sound like seven running backs were taken before CJ when I first read it anyways..

I'm watching a number of Zealots drafts for ADP prior to my rookie draft. Here's a few that vary quite a bit from their ADP (Zealots is 12-man IDP for those of you unaware) - some aren't crazy weird, but interesting:

Calvin Johnson, 1.01 (probably will be somewhat more common than the rest)

Jamarcus Russell at 1.03 (Lynch went 1.04)

Brian Leonard, 1.07

Tony Hunt, 1.10

Lawrence Timmons, 1.11

Craig Davis, 1.12

Kenneth Darby, 1.12

I realy don't see CJ at 1.01 as being weird at all:He is widely regarded as the surest prospect in this draft to not bust, and also to be great - consistent #1 FF starter. He isn't falling below 1.03 anywhere I've heard. His ADP is probably 1.02 at worst when rounded.

He went 1.01 in my league but in our scoring ststem only 2 WR's scored in the top 30 last year.
