Never seen anything like it. I've been watching football pretty hard core since 1974 and I can't think of any more amazing catch. Incredible.

This.I'm sure there have been "bigger" catches like the Tyree one, but that's the first one that ever brought me out of my seat (with little/no rooting interest in the game anyway)
Over react much? Thats a bit much. He is having a good game but lets not be prisoner of the moment. Not just the catch but call me crazy I don't think there's any WR I'd trade him for in fantasy football right now. And I'm talking redraft. Dynasty it's a no-brainer.
I've been watching Giants games for weeks specifically because of him. I don't see anyone playing the position better. He's uncoverable and he catches everything.Over react much? Thats a bit much. Amazing catch, best catch ever? Lots of great catches out there, but this one was nice.
Yeah....he only netted one-yard by making that catch. Renders it almost meaningless.Even with the offensive pass interference?
I just called my brother about it. There haven't been any pure catches I've seen that have been better in my memory. Watching football regularly since the '70s, though not like you guys.I literally just told my brother this. That was the best catch I've ever seen and I believe it will be for the rest of my life. Just insane.
What would have made it better if it was a critical game and a critical time. Athletically it was the most impressive catch ever. What would someone have to do to have a better catch?
Interfered with. On the sideline One handed at ridiculous angle. For a TD.
Only thing that would top it would be same scenario but he catches it behind his back or between his legs with one hand.
Again, not claiming this one is better, but the #1 from the top 5 video below is pretty damn impressive.Find me a video of any catch, at any level, that's better.
i remember because I had Freeman going that night for the winI'm not saying the catch I'm posting below is better. However, when I saw that play by OBJ tonight and saw this thread, it reminded me of the Antonio Freeman catch on Monday night to win in OT. That's the first catch I thought about when recalling a moment I saw live and my jaw dropped as I knew it was clean during the live moment.
Jeezus - that was Aaron Dobson. What a waste...#4 is pretty damn good (Ohio State).Again, not claiming this one is better, but the #1 from the top 5 video below is pretty damn impressive.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUj8AwF7Xb0Find me a video of any catch, at any level, that's better.
Not even close to as good. So many more unbelievable things in Beckhams catch. The closest thing I've seen to it is
Ok, so I feel absolutely ashamed that I have never seen that video before. That blows the Cal/Stanford/trombone player touchdown out of the water. That has to be the coolest ending to a football game ever - on any level.Anone care to count the number of laterals? 10? 20? 30?While we're on the topic of great TDs, in my search I found the below video. It might be the most improbable TD I've seen. Not a great catch by any means but just an amazing TD.
I would say it was locally goodThe closest thing I've seen to it is
That one of the great things that will come from that catch: This discussion will rage everywhere and we will see a lot of great catches this week as a result on TV and the web. Not sure if I will see one I think is better than this one.Find me a video of any catch, at any level, that's better.
Great post. The closest thing I've seen to it is Charles Woodson's interception for UM against MSU in 1997.
Beckham's catch was better, but seeing a guy stick one arm out and come down with a ball that should've been unreachable unfortunately flashed me back to that.
At 1:36 he shows off his gloves. At what point do you give credit to his freekish ability and not the technology of his gloves?
