SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

What Went Right: Running back Shaun Alexander re-signed. Julian Peterson signed and immediately bolstered a defense that continues to improve. They also snatched wide receiver Nate Burleson away from Minnesota. Most of all, they learned that Mike Holmgren wants to coach a little longer.

What Went Wrong: They lost Pro Bowl guard Steve Hutchinson to Minnesota. If that's the worst thing you can say about the Seahawks, life shouldn't be so bad this season.

Grade: A-

When "entending Richard Seymour's contract" isn't figured into the Patriots grade, it's hard to take these grades seriously.

Apparently, the Jets trading one of the best defensive players in the league, and hiring the youngest coach in the NFL, don't merit mentioning either.
