As was posted in that thread, health is Stallworth's biggest question. However, he is only 25 years old and may have overcome any character questions with his demeanor in Philly this year.

Personally, I think a number of teams would be interesting in adding a young, big play speed WR.

NYG

WAS

DAL if TO leaves

SF

NE

KC

SD

OAK if Moss leaves

TEN

MIA

All of the above teams are possibilities considering their needs or potential needs. WAS enters into the picture becuase of Snyder and his penchant for throwing money at players like crazy. I could see him jumping at the chance to steal Stallworth away from the Eagles and pairing him with Moss and Randle-el.

I think the most intriguing is NE. Stallworth just strikes me as a NE type of WR. He would be a great fit in NE although a skeptic could say that the Pats didn't want to spend it on Branch, why would they spend big on Stallworth?

All in all, I think Stallworth is one of the more interesting names out there in FA. Where do you think he plays next year?

Stallworth has said that he wants to stay in Philly so I think he stays. I also think he is a valuable player for the Eagles

Unfortunately he'll probably end up on the injured list too many weeks next year (again). He seems a great fit in Philly. He gets open deep every game.

Not only is he a quality player, he seems like a quality person and fits in great in the locker room. Here's to hoping he stays.

We would be stupid to let him go.

The Eagles fronm office rarely punts on 4th and 15 at midfield while trailing at the end of a game, so to speak.

As much as I'd like that to happen, anything said by him could also just be a ploy to drive up the price for the Eagles or other teams, and you can't really blame him for that. What works in the Eagles favor is that I don't think he'll be seeking a long term deal since he won't be able to get big money for a long time. Right now I'd say he has about a 50% of coming back to Philly and I feel I am being optimistic. If he doesn't go back to Philly, I like his chances to go to KC or SF above anyone else.

here is the quote I was referring to:Stallworth wants to stay in Philly

(Rotoworld) Impending free agent Donte' Stallworth said after Saturday's loss that he wants to stay in Philadelphia next season.

Impact: "Are you serious?" he asked. "Yes. Yes. Definitely, yes." Stallworth will likely play his cards closer to his vest when contract talks begin. He will be the biggest free-agent wide receiver on the market.

I agree that Stallworth would be intriguing in that offense, but they picked up Lloyd for that purpose, and their skill sets are similar. Anyway, their needs are on defense, and they have several of them. They won't sign Stallworth.

I also heard him say it a couple of weeks ago when being interviewed on ESPN News. I believe him. But this is the NFL and money talks. Philly will have to shell out some dough if they want him to stay.

I’d like to see him back in Philly, but I just don’t seeing it happening. The free agent pool is not strong at WR and most teams have more money under the cap because of the CBA; that is a recipe for someone to overpay for him. I think he does want to be back in Philly, but he would have to accept a deal similar to what they gave Reggie Brown and I think someone is going to offer him a lot more money than that. The Eagles assign a value to a player and do not go over that value. Also, if you look at the Eagles history of resigning players, (most of the time) if they hit the market they are usually gone.

Plus Philly will have to pay a higher conditional draft pick to New Orleans if they decide to re-sign Stallworth.

A logical person would say that too. If the Pats had any inclination of spending money on WR's, they would have done so on guys they knew fit their scheme, like Patten, Givens, or Branch. Guys with hamstrings they could trust.Plus, this is not a sexy group of free agents, and a ton of teams have a lot of cap room. There is either going to be overspending on some players, or very little movement.

I could see him staying in Philly. I know they have a rep for being Patriot-like when it comes to the purse strings, they traded for Stallworth, they knew his deal was ending, he had a one year audition for a deal, and proved he was a weapon. I think if their deeal is competitive, McNabb can convince him to stick around.

One team I would keep an eye on, for just about any FA short of a QB, is the Titans. I think they have $40 mill in cap room, and it's gonna be an easy sell to FA's. Vince Young seems to be special, this team has to be considered an up-and-comer.

The deal with NO is contingent. They owe NO a 3rd if he's signed before the start of FA.They owe a 4th if he signed after that or if he walks away in FA.
