Offered A Trade (1 Viewer)

I am weak on WRs and good on RBs. Trade is:

Give DK and Montgomery
Receive Deebo and Conner

10 team full PPR league, Start QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/Flex/DST/K. Starters below, as you can see dk is my wr1 if I keep him or Deebo would be wr1 if I accept the trade. Conner would be a slight downgrade from Montgomery but not by much (maybe I’m wrong and it’s a bigger downgrade than I think but my other two Rbs are set and forget anyway). So the question then becomes is deebo an upgrade over dk and if so a big enough upgrade for the Montgomery to Conner downgrade?

QB Stroud
RB Hall
RB Pacheco
WR DK
WR Smith
TE LaPorta
Flex Waddle
DST Seahawks
K Tucker

Bench
Montgomery
McLaurin
Coleman
Hopkins
Allgeier
Chubb
Shakir

The RBs are not important in this it can go either way. If you think Deebo will have a better season go for it. If not don’t.

If Conner stays healthy I think he out performs Monty this year. I really like Metcalf this year and I'm find holding but this is pretty much a coin flip trade at WR.

I have both Gibbs and Monty in my main league and I think eventually Gibbs starts to get more work.

For me Metcalf > Deebo but overall scoring wise Deebo could have a very good year.

Conner > Monty

Fun fact in one of my leagues that drafted last night Deebo went before Metcalf and Conner went before Monty.

Exactly what happened in my league. Deebo before DK, and I was going for Conner as my RB3 in the 7th but a pick or two before me he was taken. I took Monty even though I have LaPorta too.

I feel DK may have a better year than people are expecting because the new OC Grubb and his offensive prowess. You are the first to say Conner will outperform Monty this year. I have a day to accept or not, really torn!

I really like Metcalf this year in the new system he could be a TD machine.
I really like him as well. The wild thing in our draft last night is London was still there at 3.09 for me so I took London over Metcalf. Having said that part of me does wish I had Metcalf and that was the plan for the end of the 3rd if he was there.

DK could have a big year.

IF Conner stays healthy (a big IF) then I think he finishes higher than Monty (assuming Gibbs stays healthy). That's not the only part of the equation though. Conner seems to always miss time and if Gibbs misses time then Monty shoots up the RB leader board and becomes an RB1. Because of that I would rather have the Monty side.

No doubt if Gibbs misses time Conner isn't even close to Monty That being said, barring injury, I am at set and forget with my RB 1/2 in Hall and Pacheco. So while I completely agree with your statement, I think my analysis is focused more on the WR aspect of the trade as I would only play Monty or Conner in bye week situations.

With this being a situation where you only play the guy in case of someone else getting injured then I would rather have Monty in that case. Safer from a being on the field perspective. Plus I think Metcalf won't be appreciably different than Deebo and I think has a higher floor (not quite the ceiling though).
