Offical "I'm Starting M Reece over ________" (1 Viewer)

Anyone who doesn't start whatever Raiders or Saints players they have on the roster this week should have his head examined. This contest is a better bet to generate 1,000 yards of total offense than any other NFL game this season.I'm starting Reece in the flex over Woodhead, Jennings, and LaFell (and Palmer over Flacco) and not thinking twice about it.
I see the game the same way. However, I've witnessed a few of these highly anticipated shoot-outs turn out to be duds over the years.Crossing fingers and Rolling with Palmer, Meyers, Reece, D. Moore, Brees and Graham in various leagues.

Dropped Alex Green so that I could pick him up. Starting him over Ben Jarvis Green Ellis this week.

IMO the "shootout" prediction gets thrown around too often, seemingly any time two high-flying offenses go up against each other. Well, often the corresponding defenses are at least run-of-the-mill, and a lot of times they're pretty good. And unless it's the 2008 Patriots, most offenses aren't gonna routinely hang 40 on a "pretty good" NFL defense that's up for the challenge. But these are two bad defenses - pretty bad in the case of Oakland, and historically bad in the case of New Orleans. 32nd against the run and 31st against the pass: :lmao:

And Oakland doesn't even have to travel east, which would have been my only other cause for concern.

There's just no way I see this game ending up 20-17.

i hope you're right as i am starting 5 raiders this week, but i bet a whole mess of people were expecting big games from reggie bush/daniel thomas because they were playing the bill's bad run d.just never know what is going to happen, but again i hope you are right.

starting reece over sproles.

Only other options right now for RB2 are Donald Brown or Ballard. Brown's in there now, but will likely move Reece in once McFadden and Goodson officially ruled out.

Over everyone!!!

Darren McFadden OAK, Ahmad Bradshaw NYG, Jonathan Stewart CAR, Chris Ivory NO, Rashad Jennings JAX, MJD JAX, Bilal Powell NYJ, Cedric Peerman CIN

My team is the walking wounded

Short Version: Starting Reece over Jennings and Sproles

Long-Winded Version: Reece will clear waivers late tonight, and I'm leaning toward dropping Rashad Jennings outright to sign and start Reece this week against the Saints.

Jennings is a clear NFL starter, which should be gold, but he's been a disappointment. We can only roster five RBs and he seems more disposable than D Murray, Sproles, Andre Brown, and Hillman. As you can see my backs are currently either injured or waiting their turn.

Marcel was only missing a TD today.

Overall - very impressive. What an athlete.

It's an open question how many fullbacks could be successful if given the chance yet get stuck doing the dirty work. But I'm guessing it's quite a few.

I think this is where all the John Riggins, Jim Taylors and Larry Csonkas have gone.

He's not a classic FB. More like a RB/TE.

Played WR in college I believe. Dont think he's dropped a catchable ball yet. Labeled a bit of a "gadget" player and I assume he transitioned to FB to make/stay on the roster. Small sample size but with his output and skill I have to wonder what happens if he continues to produce. I realize the Saints and Ravens D isnt top tier but DMC was exactly providing an impact. Seems even when DMC returns I have to think Reece gets more looks based on what he's done the last 2 games. We'll see

It's called wishful thinking.

the past is a useful way to predict the future. dmc and his chicken legs aint coming back. reece has produced more in two games than that clown has all season...

Yep, Reece showed those 6 man fronts who is boss.

There is NO denying that Reece has looked better the past 2 games than McFadden has looked at any time this season, and obviously several factors have affected his performance. He's just so versatile that he has among the highest floors of all RBs.

If McFadden does get shut-down for the year or has a setback, a lot of Reece owners could be winning FF League titles.

Unless I am really impressed by the Bears' offense tonight, I am starting Reece over Forte and SJax next week.

I'm a Marcel Reece and DMC owner. In my [non-ppr] league, I'm actually hoping DMC stays out. Reece for the win.

Assuming DMC and Goodson are out again, how we see Reece doing against Cincy? NO really didn't seem to care about him ripping off big chunks since they had the game in hand from the start. You also can't expect him to get 90 receiving yards every game. Personally, I think the only way he scores is on a receiving TD and those are hard to predict. He did have one goal line carry but I don't think he has the explosiveness to be that effective in that situation.

Actually I'm pretty hopeful whenever he gets a pass out in the flat he might take it all the way. He's great in the open field. I think the only thing stopping him at the goal line is the Raiders giving him the chance.

McFadden and Goodson did not practice again today.

"RBs Darren McFadden & Mike Goodson (high ankle sprains) and DT Richard Seymour (hamstring) didn't practice again for #Raiders today"

Reece is coming of a 190 yard game and plays the Bungals this week, what do you see for him again this week. He has performed as a RB1 for sure the past 3 weeks.

ETA: Also RB T. Jones was limited today after not being on the injury report yesterday, this is shaping out to make Reece a very very strong #1 this week and a must start in PPR, no?
