Agree. I thought he looked pretty decent between the tackles as a starter...something he struggled with in 2012. He's not a sexy name, but I could see him be a decent flex/bye week guy this year given the right circumstances (which is more than what I expect from my 3rd rounders).Rodgers helped me win a few games (I didn't even want to win) last season when Jackson was out. He looked better last season than he had in the past. That is throwing the 3rd away IMO.I like Jackson, and with his age, running style and his injury last year, it couldnt hurt. Rodgers is still young and is a good COP guy anyways. For a 3rd? I'd do it.I wouldn't feel the need to handcuff that situation.I have Steven Jackson. Just offered Jacquizz Rodgers for my 3rd round rookie pick. Would you take it?

My apologies. I guess I need to read the rules.Generally in this thread the Asst. Coach questions get ignored. But sometimes, 1 or 2 people will reply. It is supposed to be frowned upon though.
I'm sure there is an underlying situation here that gives the AR owner to trade, but without those facts, A Rodgers will always be favored over Dalton and the 2.+1Aaron.12 team PPR 4 pts per passing TD

Disagree strongly with 1.05 and 1.07 being worth more than Spiller. Spiller is an elite talent who happened to suffer a high ankle sprain last year. I thought it was pretty even. It worked for me d/t being deeeeeep at RB and pretty thin on WR prospects. That's highly dependent on the league. In an IDP league, you can get impact defensive players there. I see a lot of threads around here that people think 3's and 4's are worthless and I just have to believe they aren't IDP leagues. In a start 9 IDP league, those picks are far from throwaway. Kiki Alonso, Cyprien, Wagner, Vaccaro, Harrison Smith, Peterson - all in 3/4 rounds. IDP also means that the offensive flier picks end up being a round or two lower. Last year we had 12 IDP drafted in rounds 1-3, so getting Ellington in the 4th as opposed to the 3rd makes a big difference to those middle pick values.30th pick is not a bad swap in regards to what you draft there are barely rosterable fantasy players anyways. Fantasy isnt just a game about value, its about strategy too. Having a cuff in this situation has been important the situation wasn't right. Rodgers could have done much better in his role with 2 healthy WRS, which Atlanta really didn't have at all last year. You gonna roster some one you gonna cut for the next best thing or a player who could serve value to your team. That is throwing the 3rd away IMO.I like Jackson, and with his age, running style and his injury last year, it couldnt hurt. I'm a HUGE believer in Chip Kelly and his ability to get the most out of his offensive talent -- so I think that 2013 is a more useful barometer for DJax moving forward than his last few seasons under Reid. Torrey Smith is what he is at this point IMO, a low end WR2 / strong WR3. DJax IMO is at least a full tier higher as a low end WR1 / strong WR2. YMMV.ILUVBEER99 said:Desean had a huge 2013 season but they have basically been the same player the past few years. So you devalue his fantasy value based on how he negotiates his contract. Do you do this with other players, or just him. Season was less than a month over and DJax was #####ing about his contract again...so lets check the career path - solid rookie season - career year - contract problems - 2 years of blah - career year and contract problem. I might sell before the next 2 years of blah and I might sell because I just don't like/trust him...either way I would be fine dealing DJax for Smith

They're still going to be R-I-C-H, and uprooting your wife and kids is a pretty big deal. Not saying I think he'll stay, because I don't, but a couple million more a year when your net worth is going to be in the tens of millions isn't the only way to measure "what's best for your family." It's very much an individual decision based on individual priorities. Some guys move around, some guys sign extensions and stay put. I was just making the point that getting the most money isn't always the only or most important priority for every person. If his next deal is $35 million in Denver, would getting $50 million from say Cleveland represent a significant upgrade in overall quality of life for Decker and his family?Weird, players do this very frequently. They're still going to be R-I-C-H, and uprooting your wife and kids is a pretty big deal. And as for Decker, his country pop star wife is pregant with their first child. I am sure she would be ok moving and living somewhere till the kid is like 3 while Decker makes 10 million a year. Small sacrifice to make to get paid a couple million a year more than Denver will pay.
