10 team, 1/2 ppr for WR/TE only, start QRRWWT + flex, 5 year maximum vet contracts, 5 player rookie squad, each team receives $500 f/a cash that rolls over year to year

Gave Ben Tate (4 yrs), P.Garcon (1 yr), 2015 1st rounder (middle pick, could be early), $100

Received Julio Jones (3 yrs), 2015 1st rounder (middle pick, could be later)

~~~
The $100 does two things for him: 1) gives him more money and flexibility in our RFA period and 2) Probably ends up saving him an additional $100 when I bid all my money on his best RFA and he matches. So it is sort of like he received $200.
Why the heck would he give you a 1st rounder on top of Julio? Great job but that's an awful trade on his part.
I just completed this trade today. 16 team dynasty with tiered PPR (.75/1/1.5 - RB/WR/TE). Edit to add - I can start anywhere from 2-4 WRs and as few as 1 RB. In other words, I place a premium on WRs and TEs (can start as many as 3 TEs and 1.5 ppr for TE):
Rhythmdoctor's Team will give:
Floyd, Michael ARI WR
Gates, Antonio SDC TE
Year 2014 Draft Pick 3.04
Year 2014 Draft Pick 4.04
Year 2014 Draft Pick 5.04
•To Team B for
Nelson, Jordy GBP WR
Year 2014 Draft Pick 1.11
I'm still on the fence on whether or not I made the right trade. I'm a huge Jordy fan but he only has 2 years remaining whereas Floyd was on my taxi squad and can be assigned any contract. That being said, I'm still not super high on Floyd and this trade gives me the following picks in the upcoming 2014 rookie draft:
1.02
1.04
1.11
1.14
1.15
I like having 5/16 first round picks and ultimately believe that having several first round picks is better than one player (Michael Floyd in this case). Plus, I still get Aaron Rodgers' top WR (imo).
Thoughts on my trade?
much rather have jordy and the 1.11. Floyd and Jordy cancel each other out, so you got pick 1.11 for a bunch of trash.
That's how I see it too. I feel like I got the better end but any time the other guy accepts quickly (in this case a matter of minutes), I always wonder if I overlooked something.
Thanks for your input!
I agree.
Some guys are gaga over Floyd but Jordy keeps going out there and putting up solid numbers.
1.11 is better than everything else
Floyd could turn out to be a stud for many years, but I like your odds of coming out ahead.
Agreed! FF is a game of probability and the only goal I have is to be on the right side of probability. I love having 5 first round picks in a WR deep draft.
12 Team Dynasty PPR, 3-Year Contract Limits, QRRWWTKD + Flex + SuperFlex
Gave: Crabtree (entering year 2) + 1.09
Got: Hunter, 2.03, 2015 1st (will be early)
I am rebuilding without much chance to compete in 2014, so this helps me, I figure. There are TAXI squads, so Hunter goes there, hoping for a jump. Leaves me with 1.01, 1.02, 1.04, 2.03, 3.09 and 4.02.
The other fella has a weaker roster too, but his motives are his own.
That is selling Reed high in a 1.5 ppr for tight end. I will take the Percy side
I'm higher on Reed than most, but that's way too much for him.
Not sure what A was thinking.
DeAndre Hopkins > Jones
Percy Harvin > Reed
Darren McFadden > 2015 2nd
DeSean Jackson > 1.11
I think I will take the Allen side but for a shorter compete window I like the move for you.
Forte is a big upgrade over Matthews and in PPR I still like Garcon more short term
Definitely gearing up for a title run. Was the leader in points last year and lost in the title game. Made my team a smidge older, but there was too much unkown with Seastrunk, Mathews' health, and a lottery ticket for the 2015 Devy. I feel all I really gave up was Allen and got back a top 5 RB and top 15 WR.
10 team start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 superflex / idp
1ppr
Team A gave: 1.4 (can assign any # of years)
Team B gave: Peyton Manning (3 years left on contract)
Probably a bit of an overpay. But Team A is in win now mode, guess he'll try to trade RG3 or Rodgers now.
Qbs : Rodgers(2), RG3 (6)
RB: Charles (2), Bernard (3)
Wr: Megatron (5), AJ Green (5), Jordy (1), Crabtree (1), Nicks (1)
TE: Davis (2), Julius (3)
Nice move to acquire a high scoring QB. If Manning plays only 1 year maybe an overpay...if he plays 2 I think he wins this deal
If he's smart he'd keep both and be in very good shape after Peyton retires. I actually thought Peyton was worth more in a Superflex.
I agree I would be keeping both ARod and RG3
PPR Devy League (RB 0.5, WR 1.0, TE 1.5)
Gave: Ladarius Green, 2015 1st, 2015 Devy pick. Picks should be 1.08 or lower.
Received: Jordan Cameron
Tate and the 1.12
PPR
Gave: 1.01, 1.11, 2.01
Received: Jamaal Charles
Sweet deal for a contending team to land Charles
Alot for Cameron but TE premium I think I might do the same
Good luck. Depends on the other guys roster but that might not pass
11 and 14 are not a great offer for 1.06...fine but not great. In a 12 teamer thats like 1.11 and 2.02 and I am not sure anyone does that this early
that leaves 15 for 12 and that is obvious
I think people sold cheap on Charles/McCoy, but if you are going to rebuild, getting Watkins plus isn't bad.
Especially the Charles deal. If you get Watkins and 2 other top 13 picks in a deep draft, you have a decent chance to come out ahead in the long run. It looks bad as just draft picks with no names. But if its Charles for Sammy Watkins, Allen Robinson and Carlos Hyde (or whatever, those are just examples), then all of a sudden it doesn't look so lopsided. Charles does turn 28 this season, so if you are going to sell high and get a nice haul for him, now is the time...
