I've offered the 1.10 for Trent and been turned down with the guy saying it wasn't close.
Many of us think he'll bounce back with off-season work in Indy.

Usually, prices for veteran point producers get higher in the season. Right now, everyone looks at their team and thinks their young #4 WR will produce well enough that they don't need Fitz. Around October, contenders would have come calling for Fitz.

I think that's a pretty good example of what JohnnyU is talking about in his "trading away all your picks" thread. It could work, but it's dangerous.

I get this if you can't roster all those late picks but I would be in for the 3 picks for a 4 spot drop in the 3rd
Basically this. Seems like an overpay at this point without knowing what the roster constraints are. Would have thought that gets you into the late 2nd.

Not sure if this league is similar, but our 3.1 is very valuable because the draft is broken up with the first 2 rounds happening after the nfl draft and rounds 3 and 4 happening right before the season starts. The 3.1 pick gets the surprise training camp guys - Arian foster, josh Gordon, etc.

Even with a drop off I can't see how he isn't better than a late 1st and 3rd with the targets he might see

All depends on roster sizes and WHEN the draft is related to when you have to make final cuts.

Then traded Cameron, picks 14 and 21 for CJ Spiller. I have more picks than roster space.
Another idp league (32 teams), traded pick 10 and a 2015 likely around 16-20, but could be higher for 12 and 23. Might be an over pay but I like some of the IDPs that should fall there. The players involved are almost irrelevant but gave D mccourtey (2800) and received commings (400). There's a fair chance commings starts this year and I think I can afford the loss of a safety if he doesn't.

That's the issue with Dalton, isn't it? He puts up good fantasy numbers in an offense with some nice weapons, but is he a good enough QB to keep that job long term? The Bengals seem like a team loaded with talent whose QB is holding them back.

The 2.3 looks like a late 1st in other years. Looking at the talent that will be there I'd trade Dalton straight up for the 2.3 and find myself another QB2.

Now generally I would think Colston doesnt carry much value, but in a 12 team league starting that many players he is likely an every week starter on most teams. Makes it a little closer but gotta go other side.
I agree that the Cobb side got the better end, but disagree that Randle is even one > better than Torrey Smith.

In that lineup, I'd call spiller and Cobb roughly equal. Spiller might be worth more.

I am probably more down on Spiller than most I think. Dude is a 27 year old RB with one decent year so far and the rest duds.
Not like anything has changed to make me think he is in store for 3 straight productive seasons.

65/1128/4 is legitimate starter material. Let him break a few - he had 8 tds in 2012 and 7 in 2011 - and he becomes a good wr2/borderline wr1. The ravens added some receivers, but flacco's biggest strength as a qb is his cannon arm, and nobody on that team really has speed like torrey. I can see him getting a little less coverage and a little more deep ball success because of it. While his stats aren't stud wr1 numbers yet, they look remarkably similar to 69/1102/2 - antonio brown's 2011 season, before he was hurt in 2012. So while the situations are rather different, its hard to say there isn't upside for a young player who just had a breakout year as the unquestioned number one receiver on his team. Compare that with randle, who is at best the wr2 in new york. The giants will probably pass better than the ravens, but they're coming off a tough year and its hard to say whether eli is reaching the end. The giants spent a second rounder on randle, but there's plenty of talk about them drafting a wr or te in the first or second again this year. Even if they don't, there's no guarantee randle outscores jernigan.
I can totally see the upside with randle. The problem is, I don't think his upside is higher than torrey smiths. In fact, I think his upside isn't much higher than what torrey smith has already done. Its higher, but not by much. So if you think randle is significantly better than smith, you're saying that you'd gamble smiths proven production and still real upside for randles totally unproven production and possible upside. And I can't imagine why you would do that unless you thought randle was in line for numbers like nicks used to put up. Which means you think he's way better than smith AND nicks. And while that's certainly possible, it seems like a pretty big gamble to me.
Maybe you're thinking about smaller leagues with short starting lineups, where wr24 is borderline waiver fodder, and you didn't see much upside to smith? Or are you just that high on randle?

Roster and lineup sizes (much larger ones) could definitely change who I prefer between Torrey and Randle.

He turns 27 in August, netted over 1100 yards from scrimmage last year and 1700 the year before. I think you're undervaluing him.
But then, I just traded Cameron++ for him, so I'm biased.

He will be 27 before week 1, so he is 27 for the purposes of football and fantasy football.
As I said, he has had ONE decent year. Last year was pretty bad, especially for fantasy. His 1100 yards were pretty worthless for fantasy purposes.
I think he is talented and COULD do well..............but I don't know too maybe RBs in history that finally did well when they hit 27 after underwhelming for a while prior to that. Well, except maybe his teammate Fjax
