** Official 2010 Denver Broncos Offseason Thread ** (1 Viewer)

I have ignored the Broncos team thread until just about now. As a fan of the Raiders, I openly admit that I detest the Broncos. Hate them! Hate them! Hate them with venom! 0-16 is too good for them.

But I don't hate Broncos fans. I used to live in Colorado, and got along with Bronco fans wearing my Raiders jersey. We don't have to take our passion for our team to a personal level.

The kind of talk where someone talks about another's "class level" is very toolish behavior and part of the type of conduct that FBG Joe has warned about.

Please use intellect and reason to demonstrate your points, and not insult others. It only makes the point that you have nothing really compelling to say at all.

I also agree with an earlier post from another Raider fan that the "good natured ribbing" is a little over the top.
I've been around RN long enough to suspect that he took my post the way it was intended. What good's a rivalry if you can't throw a few darts every now and again? If I saw a guy wearing a Raiders jersey on the side of the road trying to change a flat tire, I'd pull over to help him... but I'd talk trash the entire time. I feel like that's just the nature of a rivalry. Two otherwise sane and rational people arbitrarily pledge their loyalty to some one side or another in a conflict that they aren't the slightest bit affiliated with, and after that, the lines are drawn. I don't really get what the difference is between wishing an 0-16 season on the Denver Broncos players (who are people, too- people whose very livelihoods are at stake) and hurling tongue-in-cheek insults at a professed rival.Besides, this is the Denver Broncos thread. Entering a thread started of, by, and for Bronco fans to gloat about a victory over the Broncos is a good way to get a (fully deserved) negative reaction. It's not like the Broncos fans were the instigating party, here. Everyone's welcome to their opinion, and if you stood on a random street corner and yelled "Obama sucks!", I'd imagine there wouldn't really be much in the way of consequences. If you went into the White House and yelled that, though, I suspect security would be escorting you to the exits. That's the power of context.

 I've never seen such an uproar over "The Raiders just scored again."

When did we lose the ability to laugh at ourselves. If the score was reversed and a Broncos fan came into our thread and wrote "The Broncos just scored again," I would agree and then speculate that it came on a Jason Campbell interception.

Can't we all just get along?

I laughed.

Really wish McDaniel's had kept Nolan. Of course if McDaniel's had done that he would probably still be here, so maybe not.

In Miami he took their 2009 22nd ranked defense in yards (349.3) to 3rd ranked 296.5 YPG and the 25th ranked in points (24.4) to 9th at 19.7 PPG.

Denver went from 7th in yards (315) to 31st at 387 YPG and from 12th in points (20.3) to 32nd at 29.2 PPG.

Hopefully at the conclusion of the game on Sunday our DC is given his walking papers.

So, Broncos fans, how do you fill up your time in the offseason? What do you read?

I used to pull the daily PDF press clippings from the .com, but they can be a chore to get through every day.

I get the Bleacher Report digest email but it seems borderline worthless.

Obviously there is denverpost.com, maxbroncos.com and milehighreport.com. What am I missing?

let's end the abortion of 2010 - 2011 broncos thread here.bleacher report is worthless.

I go to orangemane.com, milehighreport.com, and probably the best for pure content and analysis is itsalloverfatman.com.
