***Official 2013/2014 NHL Regular Season Thread*** (2 Viewers)

Toronto has been a fraud all year. They were never as good as their record suggested. Awful team who stole a lot of games.

Man is he terrible all the time like he was tonight? Nice contract Toronto. Toronto pretty much crapping the bed late in the season. They probably need to go undefeated the rest of the way to have any hope of a playoff berth.
Still a 4-way tie for the 7th spot in the east, Toronto has played two more games than the other three teams though and two more than the Devils who have 76 points. I would think 91 is the magic number, so they would have to go 5-1-1 in their last seven. The other teams have their issues as well, I think Columbus is the team that will get one of the spots.

It looks like the only Canadian based team that will make the playoffs is Montreal. I'm okay with that. I despise the Canucks, Flames and Leafs, so I'm not sad to see them miss the chase for The Stanley Cup.

I wanted the Jets and Senators to make it, but unfortunately that isn't going to happen. The Oilers? Well :kicksrock:

The Leafs have a similar problem to the Oilers, a horrible Defense. Bernier stole some games for them early on in the season, but they were never going to make the playoffs with that D.

There's no pretty much they are just crapping the bed.

Toronto relied on hot snipers scoring on their limited shots and hot goal tending. They don't have that anymore.

basically a playoff game tonight and Yeo puts Kuemper on the bench.

at least he got something right and FINALLY scratched Heatley. that was only about 4 months overdue.

Got to love that Ovechkin leads the league in goals, but is just 1 point from having the worst +/- in the entire league.

Interesting that for users that haven't adjusted the default settings, this thread is on page 86.
Is this about me? If so I don't understand, If not carry on.
Jersey number.Healthy scratch the other night. Chicago probably still in a frenzy anyway.
Not much else to be excited about right now.
JFC, come on

I'm not burying them. But I'm not excited about their chances either right now. 10-10-4 their last 24 games. And just got steamrolled by a team that's not going to the playoffs.

steamrolled?

Hawks were playing the 2nd of a back to back and their 3rd game in 4 nights. They still managed to fire 49 shots on goal.

They're bored. They'll roll Colorado round one.

I was told a few pages ago that Chicago plays better in the 2nd of back to back games.

they have been one of the best teams in the league in those situations but a 49-29 edge in shots on goal is generally a sign that they weren't steamrolled. Faceoffs were 44-21 in favor of Chicago too.

They did look lethargic for the most of the first and the beginning of the second but seemed to wake up eventually but couldn't solve Anderson.

A week ago when they beat the Blues, they had one of their best games of the year. I think they will roll the Avs and set up a phenomenal series against St Louis in round 2.

Yeah, when they were down 3-0.

Got a bad feeling with Duchene's knee injury. Av's have already lost two top 6 forwards for the season. They can't afford any more.

Wings/Griffins are so inconsistent. They have a terrific 10 minute stretch and get three goals, then get one shot on a 4 minute power play and give up a goal right after. It's been a fun year watching all these kids bloom, but they make a ton of mistakes which Wings fans just aren't used to seeing.

Seriously Tampa?

Stamkos with the own goal. Ridiculous. Wish he got credit for that one.
