Ballsonurchin is a Chicago Fan.

They should have been contracted a decade ago. Worst franchise in hockey back then. Nobody in a city of millions knew or cared that they existed.

very good point. I think we need to take a hard look at every team and make sure they aren't contractable.

In. Should we look at the teams in alphabetical order or by their current overall league standing?

After this road trip I think we start with the Wild and move from there.

They're dropping like flies in Ottawa. Methot hipchecked Crosby and sent him cartwheeling into Dupuis who landed awkwardly on his knee. Dupuis and Crosby are both in the dressing room. And one of the refs is hurt too

Might as well put the Pens at the top of the contraction list now.

If it wasn't for Crosby and Malkin they would have been moved and that wasn't that long ago. File that under things Pens fans forget.

Oilers up 6-2 over the Jets late in the 3rd, so we can delay talk of contraction regarding them for at least a day.

Interesting that Bettman said it probably would have been more if he had a history.

I don't like that Thornton supposedly said that he was fully aware of what he was doing.

I guess I'm more miffed that Neal only got five games, especially when Scott got seven for his hit on Eriksson. So again, the result of the play seems to be part of a determining factor of how many games you get. I'm not a fan of that.

Look #######, all of the Oilers young drafted forwards (except for RNH) have been the subject of trade rumours this season. Hall, Eberle, Gagner, Yakupov. The Oilers have too many of the same type of forward (smaller stature and offensively skilled) and are in desperate need of a top pairing Dman or 2 or 3.... So all of the forwards I listed previously and 2014 draft picks have been part of trade rumours. So how exactly does Eberle being involved in trade rumours support your allegation that Hall hates him? Does Hall also hate Yakupov, Gagner and the players the Oilers end up taking in the next draft?

Just consider a radical thought for a moment. Maybe you and your impeccable source are wrong. Tough for a Torontoian to do I know. I'll also hazard a guess that you weren't born and raised in the Big Smoke. Most transplants feel they need to talk a bigger game than those that were actually born there.

I saw Bob Costas' interview with Bobby Orr from Costas Tonight last night.

He is definitely a classy guy. I couldn't believe how freaky his knee looked when he showed it to Costas. He estimates he has undergone about 20 knee surgeries. He also said he was pretty much bankrupt when he retired because Alan Eagleson stole alot of his money. He owned his part in it by saying he didn't pay attention to his money and just played the game. Now as a player agent, he warns all his clients to watch their money and ask lots of questions of those who handle their money.

I didn't realize there's a statue of his 1970 Stanley Cup winning goal outside the rink in Boston. I don't remember it being outside the Boston Garden when I was there in 1998.
