***Official 2013/2014 NHL Regular Season Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Anyone else having problems with the NHL.com gamecenter tonight? The video is lagging terribly. Tried three different browsers and my internet connection is strong.

Phoenix hasn't had a shot on goal in 24 minutes. At home. Including a power play.

HUGE win. Dallas has already won and breathing down their necks, down 1-0 heading into the 3rd against Phoenix who they need to beat on regulation, and the Wild respond with their best period all year. Huge response. What a game. Parise earning every cent of that contract, motor never quits.

Given how bad the Flyers have been in the secnd period this season, it;s just a matter of time until the Ruins tie this, right?

Teuvo Teravainen time.
Interesting that for users that haven't adjusted the default settings, this thread is on page 86.
Is this about me? If so I don't understand, If not carry on.
huh?

Teravainen wears #86 and those posts were on page 86 of this thread. Why would it be about you?
didn't put two and two together. Was my first post in here in months and was quoted in a mention about settings, thought maybe I was doing the internet wrong or something, it's cool. BTW I'd like to donate to fantasy playoff pool, if you or someone is running it this year.

Seriously Tampa?
I have never seen that happen.

Lightning pulled the goalie on a delayed penalty then shot it off the boards.....went into the net.
No boards involved but the Sharks almost iced it into their own net on a delayed penalty today. It was a rocket the length of the ice just wide,
Missed this discussion last night, but we had a HS game here in Massachusetts this season where a team got a delayed penalty in the final seconds of a tie game, pulled the goalie, and then the drop pass slid the length of the ice and hit the post right before the horn.

The Toews injury did not look good. I have homer glasses on, but the hit was boderline at best. Tough to say if head was principal point of contact or not but it look like it was to me.

Looked to me like he hit him in collarbone area and slid up to head.

Can any of you Boston guys suggest a bar in the city where I might be able to catch Rangers games (either general hockey or NY-centric) over the next couple weeks? I'll be staying at the Long Wharf Marriott.

We have a bunch of Boston themed bars here so I figure maybe it's reciprocated.

NY-centric bar? In Boston??? :lmao:

In all seriousness, there are no sports bars that I know of right near Long Wharf. You're right by Quincy Market, but none of the bars in that area would be great for that.

You're only about a 15-minute walk from the area outside the Garden, where The Fours, Sports Grille Boston and the Greatest Bar all would be good spots. The first two are on Canal St., while TGB is the next street over on Friend St. They will be packed if there is anything at the Garden, however.

There is a Jerry Remy's in the Seaport District, probably about a 5-minute cab ride depending on traffic.

I work in the Seaport. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

The Rangers had their way with Edmonton last night. After Nash's break in was stopped by the Edmonton goalie, it had the appearance of being one of those lopsided games where the weaker team scores a fluke goal and ends up turning the game around. Happily, that wasn't the case. Edmonton looked terrible for a large part of the game. The fairly even SOG did not accurately reflect the one-sided nature of the game.

the Oilers are ready for the season to be over.

Their fans have been ready for the season to be over for at least a month now.

Duchene out at least first series of playoffs....not good, but not horrific. Will be challenging to get past Chicago without him.

another fine effort from the Ducks

6 shots on goal so far with 6 minutes left in the second period and trailing 4-0 to the Winnipeg Jets.
