One thing that befuddles me about soccer.

That dude can be in a full sprint, receive a ball that's flown 50 yards through the air, and head it perfectly into the corner of the net. An impossible feat. Yet 20 minutes earlier a guy has a wide open shot with complete control of the ball at point blank range and his shot goes straight at the goalie.

No different from most sports

Basketball players can sink a 25 footer with ease and miss a layup

A QB can drill a player 25 yards down the field in stride and then overthrow a screen pass

A hockey player can snipe an upper corner from the slot and then miss an empty netter in front
