Oops. I guess he had enough of me all summer.Nice outing. Almost made it out of the 2nd. Twitter-bombing Peavy up next.
What if we have a DVR?At least we can watch The Boz's 30-for-30 now instead of later.
Why wait? What if we have a DVR?At least we can watch The Boz's 30-for-30 now instead of later.
Oh damn. Never mind. I thought it was 3 days rest for some reason. They can't even think about it, right?*starts looking at Bumgarner's stats on two days rest*

2011. Cardinals and Rangers. Nelson Cruz victimized in right field in the ninth, IIRC.When wasthe last game 7
The game tonight reminds me a lot of Game 6 in 1982. All that's needed is John ###king Stuper and a few rain delays. That's when the "trend" started. The 81 Dodgers closed out the Series in 6 at Yankee Stadium. Since then, it's been just one of the Blue Jays title teams and the Josh Beckett Marlins to close out a long series on the road. So this means the road team is due, and I clearly cannot choose the glass in front of me.The 82 Brewers have a bye this week. The three Royals loses have been two Bumgarner gems and one meltdown by the back half of the pitching staff.
Peavy is hittable and Ventura is on full rest. If Ventura has a similar performance to what he did in Game 2 (23 batters faced, 2 runs given up, exit in the 6th) the game is winnable.
The descriptive-but-not-predictive history is on KC's side, too. Home teams in Games 6 and 7 of the World Series have won 22 of their last 25. 15 of the last 17 Series that went 6 or 7 games were won by the team hosting 6 & 7.
Whitey kept sending Stuper out there after each rain delay because he wasn't sure how long Andujar was going to last the next night. Joaquin took a hit off his knee in Game 3 and had to be carried off the field. Sutter frequently pitched the 8th and 9th during the season so Whitey knew Sutter might even be an option to finish the 7th, but the rest of the bullpen was thin. The game tonight reminds me a lot of Game 6 in 1982. I was less than a year removed from Wisconsin so I was all over the Wallbangers all summer. Watching Stuper pitch the game of his life on that very long night is one of my least favorite baseball memories
Can they throw Ventura in a sauna or something for the next 21 hours and start him again tomorrow night?
Roxy Roxborough @RoxyLasVegasI make KC (Guthrie) -125 SF (Hudson) in Game 7. Bumgarner in the pen.
I turned this one off early but Game 7s always have some more interest.Raider Nation said:It will be interesting to see how many eyeballs FOX gets for game 7. Entering tonight, this was on pace to be the least-watched World Series ever.
55/45 tomorrow, give or take. That game was an awesome live experience. Sat in the same section as the giants owner and he can ead.
I'm really looking forward to tomorrow but I'm nervous we used up to many runs tonight.
