Saw that on a different site earlier. I liked the comments from the buffalo folk on your link.
I probably pulled it from that site, SECr?
not sure
This is just a publicity stunt. He's trying to get a little attention before he drops his new rap album. Here's his first one in case you missed it.

On a serious note...I'm not so sure Freeze has the sack to cut ties with this guy. I'd actually be surprised if he did. Next year is OM's shot. With all they have returning on D they can't roll out a pedestrian offense. I think this guy plays game one in 2015.

Can you block a field goal at the actual goal post?

If you had a 7 footer or something and the opposing team was kicking a 50+ harder, is it legal to put that guy back at the goal post to block it in case it only clears by a couple of feet?

Just like the fat goalie theory, wouldn't work.
We should put all of these in a thread. Sports mythbusters or something. Other ideas: Olympic sprinters as MLB pinch runners, NFL team in the rugby world cup, using 4 defenders + a cherry-picker in basketball ...

I remember this story from all the sports books I read as a kid. This is interesting. I thought you still could, but apparently they changed the rule. R.C. Owens.

eta* Oh, I didn't pay attention to the thread title. Sorry. I got wrapped up in the question in the purer sense.

eta2* Chris Brown cleared this up in this link in 2009. Unless you catch it cleanly, it's a safety. There is no batting of the ball in the end zone by the non-kicking team, apparently. Very interesting, as always. I haven't read his blog that much this year, but he's such a good writer.

@MBakerTBTimes: CONFIRMED: Jameis Winston cleared of all four charges in #FSU CoC case for sexual assault allegations

Told ya'll he didn't rape that girl.
Given this was probably a kangaroo court, I'm still thinking he did it.
Just a State Supreme Court justice. :ptts:
Was he a FSU grad like the DA?
No. And Willie Meggs has prosecuted numerous FSU football players, but hey facts.

I love how easily you are willing to impeach a state attorney's supposedly impeccable character and reputation because he went to the same school the star football player did. :headshot:

The laughing and joking the DA did during his presser gave me a southern good old boy we take care of our boys vibe. But, hey, FOOTBAW!...amirite?

That was dumb but three organizations have reviewed the facts and taken no action. Sorry the burden is more than your internet standard of proof (zero).

Whatever. Glad it worked out for him.

Official: 5.5M a year through 2022 for Jimbo.

How many NFL coaches make more than that? I know Belichick and I'm sure a few more but I can't name them.

Sean Payton is a good coach. They may be throwing him a few extra bucks to cover the year he got suspended. That was bs.

I still think he is a top 5 coach in the league. However, he is always going to be tied to Breese. Until he does it without Drew people will always question him.

He is the most successful coach in Saints history by a very wide margin.
Well, to be fair, their history isn't littered with storied coaching successes.
Bum Phillips would kick your ### if he were alive.
You're a Saints fan? How does that work, exactly? Just pick a team in the general southern region you want to root for?

There's been 16 head coaches in New Orleans history, including interim coaches. Only 2 of them have .500 records or better. Not exactly the hallowed halls of Lambeau here.
