This is just a publicity stunt. He's trying to get a little attention before he drops his new rap album. Here's his first one in case you missed it.
On a serious note...I'm not so sure Freeze has the sack to cut ties with this guy. I'd actually be surprised if he did. Next year is OM's shot. With all they have returning on D they can't roll out a pedestrian offense. I think this guy plays game one in 2015.

eta* Oh, I didn't pay attention to the thread title. Sorry. I got wrapped up in the question in the purer sense.
eta2* Chris Brown cleared this up in this link in 2009. Unless you catch it cleanly, it's a safety. There is no batting of the ball in the end zone by the non-kicking team, apparently. Very interesting, as always. I haven't read his blog that much this year, but he's such a good writer.

Watch this video at 1:09. #12 comes out of nowhere throwing punches, and ends up getting clocked. Probably the shot that bloodied his face. He then proceeds to make a bigger jackass of himself by trying to cheap shot a guy when the fight is over.

He is the most successful coach in Saints history by a very wide margin.
Yeah, I don't see why it's such a surprise. Dude won the team's first SB. And he has a great relationship with the franchise QB. He earned it.

Sean Payton is a good coach. They may be throwing him a few extra bucks to cover the year he got suspended. That was bs.
I still think he is a top 5 coach in the league. However, he is always going to be tied to Breese. Until he does it without Drew people will always question him.

You're a Saints fan? How does that work, exactly? Just pick a team in the general southern region you want to root for?
There's been 16 head coaches in New Orleans history, including interim coaches. Only 2 of them have .500 records or better. Not exactly the hallowed halls of Lambeau here.
