ASU/ND was a matchup of which Kelly on which sideline would make the last stupid call. ASU won that one thankfully.
I still hate this grab bag fade and pray offense Brian Kelly runs. Tommy Rees is outright terrible. I find it hard to believe Andrew Hendrix is that much worse than Rees to at least get him into the mix.

I was mostly pointing out that Waco was a ####hole. I got it too but I was rooting for NW to get the first down because I thought OT was the only way to save that bet. One of the strangest covers ever.

I hear ya....there's no way Mack is back next year. And UT is a top 3 job IMO....you'll get someone good....especially b/c A&M is having success...no holes barred

If you stripped all players and coaches from all schools around the country and just started from scratch, it would be pretty tough to argue that Texas wouldn't be the #1 job. But in January 2014, I can make a solid argument that Bama, LSU, Georgia, Oregon and OSU are all better jobs right now. Like it or not, by simply moving from the Big 12 to the SEC, A&M put a huge freaking dent into UT.
That doesn't mean that UT couldn't vault above them with the right person.......but the job isn't the same one it was 3 years ago.
Before you start spouting off about money.....everyone thought the Longhorn network would "change the game". Clearly, it's been a failure.
But all that being said....I said it was a top 3 job....not a top 20 job, so I'm not downplaying it whatsoever. It's just not a slam dunk #1

Just seems like we usually have at least one of the top contenders suffer a big upset by now. Probably the closest we've had is Miami over UF, but I don't know how many people really thought Florida was a contender.
I'm not talking about a match-up like Clemson/UGA where a top contender was guaranteed to loose.

Can we get the criteria on what makes a certain job "#1"...?
Is it primarily money? Or regional talent pool, good weather, an administration which will give you some latitude to operate as you see fit, etc?
